Pymsters Journey

Jodie how much hot water for the hot chocolate please?

However much you like hon!! Some people like it thick, others not so much! i think the pack directs about 200ml, but it's up to you!!! If you think its too think, add more water!! xxxx

thanks will be trying that tonight xxxx

Hey you

Hope u liked the hot choc! I have mine 1/2 vanilla,1/2 choc and itsp coffee with hot water and blitzed up ! Yum !!
Abt the BBQ - If u feel it is too soon ...just say no because personally i don't think it s worth the risk. One u have lot quite a lot and gone down a dress size etc you will be so thrilled that it will be less likely to be tempted.
However if you want to go just to socialise and u have good supportive company then make sure u eat before everyone else so u are not hungry at the time.
Goodluck and dream of the fat melting away!!

hey thanks otv - i am scared that even if i eat from home i might still feel tempted to eat yummy things - i know tht sometimes i forget to pack the will powere in my handbag in situations like this!!!
i am not going - i have told my sister and she supports me and thinks it may be too soon.
i still didnt try the hot choc - just thought if i dont like it then i will be stuck with the shepherds pie!!! its weigh day today so i will pick up packs tonight and try the hoc choc over the week, also i cant believe how cold its got - drinking my ice blended choc shake last night and i got really really cold - my hands and feet really struggled to get warm - i had to blast the house with the heating!!! :)
hope you are doing well hun x

Morning Pym!!!

My hands and feet are eternally cold now, its a side effect of LL i'm afraid!! I spend most days snuggled up with my dressing gown around me (Its a fleecey one!) even when i'm fully clothed!!! Think it might even be time for me to get the electric blanket out!! Hahaha!!!

I know how you feel about forgetting to pack the willpower...some days it's really easy to stay focused, other days: not so much!! But we'll get there slowly....that's why i'm forever grateful for having minimins on my phone - its a lifesaver!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yesterday was awful though hun - i dont normally feel the cold!! electric blanket it is then !! do they still do them ?
as long as i am out of sight of food i am ok - i think its too soon for me to face food, i probably need to work on positive thoughts and dealing with situations like that!!!
i have been invited to someones for dinner on friday night (next week ) now i know i have to say no - having already accepted a couple of weeks ago, but i dont want to tell them i am doing LL! i feel bad as we have been trying to arrange this for nerly 6 months - someone give me a really really good excuse so i can decline nicely !!!! i know i am a wimp
x

Haha - yes they still do electric blankets - i got mine last year and it was only about £30, so have a look!!!!
It's a Godsend!! Especially during LL and cold weather!!!

Could you not say to your friend that, although is was planned months ago, it turns out that you have an engagement with work/hubby/something important, and unfortunately you can't get out of it.

If you offer to reschedule she can't be mad, as she'll know you still want to see her!!

I did the opposite to you - my friend invited me for dinner the other night, and i said i'd love to, but back on LL! So she laughed and said she'd get out the blender for my milkshake!! Could you not tell her? Maybe then you wouldn't have to decline! Just go after dinner or go for a "catch-up" instead of a food event! xxxxxxxxxxxx

hun i wish it was that easy
its a guy that works iwth me - him and his wife have invited me around for dinner adn drinks and then to stay over - lots to see in their village!!!
i dont want to tell him as i dont want people knowing at work - not that i am embarrassed but just the negative comments. Talking about that my boss always asks me everyday if he can get me something while he is out - usually i say yes pls, cake, biscuit, occasionally fruit - but for two weeks now i have said no thanks - he is worried im not eating!!! lol
i need to say somethign to my colleague as he said to me earlier dinner in ten days!!!! oh my god !!! i think on friday i will say that can i reschedule as something has come up with the family!
thats nice of your friend to be so supportive x

Aaaah, guess you'll have to wait till a few days before and make an excuse to skip out.
It must be pretty tricky not being able to tell anyone, though i totally understand your reasons for doing it, i just don't think i could deal with the hassle of people not knowing!!!
Good luck!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey PM
Dinner on Friday ..... that's a difficult one. Why don't you say that u have a tummy upset early in the week and suggest to them that perhaps to postpone the dinner date ! That way u would give them notice. If u go for a stay over then it will become obvious that u are doing something different.
Hope u find a solution soon. You are doing so well ....... just keep with it till goal (and beyond)!
night night 4 now

thanks otv - that actually sounds a jolly good idea!!! i am a wimp but i will try and tell him on monday - or maybe text him over the weekend and make up some kind of excuse!!!

Hey guys

hope you are well today and smiling!!!

Day 12

i had my second weigh in yesterday and lost 4lb, now a huge part of me is pleased – I mean come on 4lb in one week – you are not going to be able to have that kind of loss on WW or SW really now are you or are you – I mean most places say healthy weight loss is between 1-2lbs. but there is a part of me that thinks ‘only’ I am really trying to overcome that down ish feeling I have in the pit of my stomach. In the class yesterday we went around asking everyone how they felt and I was very vocal and said that 4lbs is good but I wanted more, Everyone was saying you have done well to lose over half a stone in 2 weeks but I found myself being very defensive and kept saying its only actually 11 days not quite the 2 weeks so we cant say 2 weeks yet!! Even on my signature ticker thing I had to put that !! – not sure what is going on im my head! I think when you read such inspiring stories and posts on this forum you hear how much people lose and then judge the losses by that – not that I am not happy for everyone and their losses but I its me i just find it easier to beat myself up then to be pleased for myself! Saddo !! :sigh: guys its more envy then jeolousy i promise!
Anyway now that is said lets move on.

All is well otherwise – LL is fine, sticking to porridge, shake, shake and bar on most days – I was too wimpy to try the shepherd’s pie but I got the curry soup this week to try so will see how that goes one day this week. There was a girl at class last night who has lost 3 stones in 12 weeks, she is a returner, she said she does lots and lots of exercise and her job is manual labour ish !!! anyway I think that spurred me on to thinking I must start incorporating some form of exercise into my life because when I get to RTM it will be hard enough making good food choices and getting back to food rather than also worrying about getting into exercise! So I am going to do some walking this weekend (weekdays are a little tricky at the mo as work is so busy and hard to get away at a reasonable hour) and maybe some Zumba on the Wii – I will take it easy but now I have written it down I need to do it.

So heres to an exciting week and to more losses!
Good luck guys
X :bighug:

Hey sweetheart!!!
Couldn't "read and run" so thought i'd add my $0,02.

You have lost an incredible amount of weigh!!! In a month of SW or WW you'd be lucky to have shifted half of that!!!

I know it's very easy to compare to other people (Especially fabulous weightloss people like Tia!!!!!) as i do it myself, but the thing to remember is that, it all averages out in the month. It may "only" be 4lbs this week, but it could be 7 next week?! And some weeks, it may well be a single solitary 1lb.

You can't beat yourself up about it though!! It's not your bodies fault that it didn't realise you were being weighed last night!! It's all about biology and DNA and stuff that is out of our control!!

You keep doing what your doing, and before you know it we'll all be parading in our skinny LBD's!!!!!

I think exercise is a great idea, and i figure that if it helps to tone before i lose the weight, the excess skin shouldn't be too bad either!!! Although as i still have this headache, i'm not doing anything at the moment, just slowly drowning in water!!! Hahahahaa!!!!

If we all lived closer we could do zumba/exercise together!!! Much more fun!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks Jodie, thats so sweet
As you say it is a great loss and i should be pleased - I AM PLEASED!!
Tia did so well - i am so proud of her - a bl00dy stone hey - she must be over the moon and i think this will motivate and spur her on, jamming moo hey !!!
i cant pretend to understand DNA and biology - numbers are my thing! but i am now thinking positive thoughts and dreaming of that new dress in a size 10 for xmas!
Yeah it is a shame that we are not closer as its so much easier going with someone to a class! i have just found a new Zumba class around the corner from me, tomorrow evening - i am going to walk there - about a mile there and a mile back and go to the class! wish me luck

hun, do we need to be concerned re the head ? its not good that its still not right - how about a quick call to the quack and see what he has to say - sorry if i am interfering - just want to make sure you are ok
x

Thanks for worrying, if i thought it was anything serious, i would go to my doc's immediately, but i'm positive it's just overdoing it, dehydration, and maybe straining something with the weights!! If i talk to my LLC and she seems concerned, then i promise you i'll go to my GP!!!
Panic not!!!

Zumba will be great, and the extra miles will work wonders!!! Though after a class you'll be zonked from the walk home!!!!!
They've just moved my class to a bit further away, so i'll be walking too it would seem! (though hopefully getting a lift back!!)
I might even give JM a try today, although on the wii - biggest loser!!! Will see how my head goes!!

I can't wait till the day i can fit in a size 12, or dare i wonder, a size 10!!! I got so used to being a 16+ the idea's quite strange!!!! Although don't think i'll be there by christmas...but i'll be happy in a 14!!!

How's your day going?!?! I just watched the new episode of Glee (I'm a huge gleek i'm afraid!!) and about to shower!! It's mine and OH 2 year anniversary today, so we're going to go into London when he's finished work. Normally we'd have dinner, but instead we'll sightsee and have a coffee!!!! And then on Saturday i've booked for us both to go on a steam train to York (He LOVES trains!!) So will be good fun!!! Hahaha!!!

OOh, gotta go - another loo break!! (I swear, i feel like a pregnant camel!!) Hahahahaha! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

happy anniversary honey - hope you have a great day in London -the sun is shining for you so should be a nice day.
married to a trainspotter hey !!! :)
i have the biggest loser thing - did it once i think !!!
day is going well - i am work at the mo and just a tad bored as things are a little quiet this week so far... famous words hey !!!

you will be a size 14 and then a 10 before you know - just dont ever lose sight of what you are aiming for and you will get there. i am a small 16 Very large 14 at the - size 16 clothes look naff and most 14s dont even fit and the ones that do make me feel uncomfortable!!! Very very soon we will be looking good in our new small size wardrobes.
Pregnant camel hey !!! just glad you re drinking water!
have a great afternoon - catcha soon
x

Hello PM (or can I call you pym),

I also found my heart sinking when i saw that i lost 3.3 ponds esp after such an emotionally difficult week. But I am trying to focus on the fact that we will all achieve on average 1 stone a month ( so some weeks may b more and some less or all of them may be a steady 3.5). SO don't worry you will do it and do it in good time.
You must already be feeling slimmer.

If you can manage excercise i think it is a great idea. Take it gently to begin with esp if u have not done any recently. You can build up week by week and i am sure your body will tell u when to stop. Just listen to it and drinks loads of water.
I need to start thinking of some excercise too and again i am girl for company and it would have been great if we were close by. I have felt shy to go to any of these classes for the last few years. USed to do them regularly until 10yrs ago when i had my first child !

But i will give it a go soon. Right now the interview is driving me mad ! I dont like to sit in front of a panel and ans questions. I haven't interviewed in 8 years and all of a sudden it is now!! Don't even have the right outfit !!

Good luck with Zumba and let us know how u get on.

:thankyou:
Not married yet though!!! Hahaha!! Just 2 years of togetherness!!
He is a geek though, but i love him for it!!!

Where do you work!? Famous last words indeed, bet you'll be rushed off your feet all afternoon now!!

And i have my size 14 dress ready to wear as motivation, and when i'm in that i'll have a size 10 to get into as well!!!!! :D

Talk soon!! xxxxxxxxxx

Hey Mrs B
