Quark alternative?

sweet pink

is losing for shoes
I was just looking through the new sw mag & the fantastic recipes but a lot of them use quark which isnt available where I live. Does anyone know of a suitable alternative that I could use??

Thanks x

What were you thinking of using it in? Fromage frais and natural yoghurt are pretty much interchangeable with quark.

Not keen on quark myself, find it a little dry if that makes sense??
I tend to use either very low fat cottage cheese or extra light Philadelphia as a He xx

I quite fancied trying the potatoes dauphinoise, custard & nutmeg tartlets, panacotta from the mag & maybe one of the chessecake recipes. Also some of the sauces for with pasta etc.. Quark just seems to be used in so many of sw recipes I hoped there was an alternative that would work as well without eating into my syn allowance
