I can't find natural fromage frais in any of the shops in my area and dont know its flavour/texture. For recipes, is it best to substitute with yoghurt or quark, which I can get?
Thanks

Either will work in most recipes, although I'd say FF has a consistency more like yoghurt, just a bit thicker :)

You should be able to get fromage frais in most supermarkets tho, it's usually quark which is more difficult to find.

Have you asked a shop assistant where it is? It could be on a shelf where you wouldn't expect it to be - I couldn't find cottage cheese in Asda last week, I walked round and round the chilled cheese cabinet for about 15 mins before I asked an assitant who told me its in a fridge at the other side of the supermarket next to the cooked meats!!!!! Now why the chilled meat fridge is at the other end of the shop to the cheese fridge is beyond me but I did find it there. lol
