I'm going to try a green day today. But first, I want to make sure that I understand the plan correctly...

Pulses, starchy veg, normal fruit & veg, quorn - all free.

    2 HEA and 2 HEB

    Right so far?

So what's the story with the meat. It says in my book about 'additional extras' and the portion sizes for meat. Can you have this also or do you have to syn it?

If there is anything i'm missing from my understanding, please fill me in also.

Meat has to be weighed and classed as either one of your HExB's or Syns.

Great, that makes sense. Thank you. Have I everything else correct?

Maybe I'm wrong - but I don't think that ALL Quorn products are free. You would need to check on-line to see if what you are having has any syns.

Free quorn is the mince, the pieces and the low fat sausages. Everything else is synned the same as EE plan. There might be other free things, for example the fillets I think are free. Other brands will be like the Linda McCartney Rosemary and onion sausages. If its veggie and free on EE its free on green.

Pasta, rice, noodles, lentil are all also free foods
And you get a wider range of HEBs as cheese can be a HEB on green :)
