Question for runners

Hello all-

I started running a few weeks ago - doing the C25k plan without the podcast. And I have noticed in the past day that I have shin splints. I have been surprised at how much I'm enjoying my 4x a week run and I don't really want to stop - the pain isn't severe just annoying. Do I need to take a break for a week ? Or is this normal ?

Sorry you have shin splints, they are meant to be quite painful.
Think my advice would be to reduce the number of times you are running a week, or to rest for a week or two.
The last thing you want is to make the condition worse.
