Question on Healthy Options

Hello All

I have only been on SW for a few days and I have a query over using your Healthy options

Yesterday before going out for a meal and had one healthy option free. The pub menu was very limited and I had chicken with chips.

What I wanted to know was could I use my healthy option for the potatos/chips and count some syns on the cooking method ie Fried? Or do I have to count the chips as chips ?

If by Healthy options you mean Healthy extra's then I would say no you would have to count them totally as syns . The potato has to be with skin on and not fried . Were you on a red day ? you could of asked for the chicken to come with a jacket potato without butter .

It's safer to count the chips as chips, otherwise it's just tweaking which can be a slippery slope, especially as you are new to it.
If you were on a red day, the potatoes would need to have had the skin on as the previous poster explained.
