Feel like quitting! This will probably seem really daft to some people. But this week and last week iv totally stuck to my SW green days and exercised and sweated every day, even came up with doing 5k Monday's! Last week lost 1lb this week lost 1 1/2lbs I know there's loses and I should be thrilled just feel like iv put so much effort in! Whilst my sisters been a weekend bender not done any exercise and lost 2lb!! How does that work?!!
Just feel like I've got no encouragement at all!! I really want need to loose weight but I'm feeling like I'm putting loads of effort in and no one to support me!
I even asked my sister to help explain extra easy days so I could give them a try to see if it helps with the weight lose but she didn't wanna know!

I know I'm being daft that I can't expect big weight loses every week but when I'm giving up my social life and living in the gym I do expect a bit better :s

We all lose weight differently and even though we do compare ourselves to others it really is not ideal but stick with it and you will succeed that is the secret.

Your weight loss is very good for SW and all these pounds do add up to a good loss every month.

There is a very good post by squiddie and she explains how SW works and Extra Easy...

Extra Easy
Extra Easy is the new plan introduced in January 2009. The structure of the plan is the same, free foods, healthy extras and syns.

With this plan you can indulge on foods that are free on either day. You must fill 1/3 of your plate with super free foods (i.e. fruit and vegetables) at each meal.

"Fill 1/3 of your plate with Superfree Foods and make them your first choice between meals [...]"

You have 1 A choice and 1 B choice healthy extras. With syns the number stays the same between 5-15 a day, except you take the lower value, if an item is 3 syns on Green and 4 on Red, you count 3 syns on EE.

You can read the rest of the post if you click on the link below....

If you do a food diary others will be able to help you with Extra Easy.

Awh sorry to hear your feeling so down, I bet you've lost more inches than your sister your becoming fitter too, stick with and soon you and other people will start to notice your weight loss plus how toned your looking. EE 1 exa and heb a day with each meal fill your plate with 1/3 super free foods (fruit or veg) check your book for the lists. Eat meat, potatoes, pasta as much ad tou want bht eat your super free foods first so you fill uo on them rather than stuffing your face with pasta potatoes etc, Have up to 15 syns per day, hope this helps x

I agree with Joanne you probably find that with going to the gym that it will help help speed up inch loss and you will look and feel good in clothes.

you'll probably find that your sister is dehydrated from all the alcohol if shes been on a bender, as soon as she starts drinking fluids again properly, she will regain some of that 2lbs!

Hi Hayley. Really sorry you're feeling so despondent. There's a post that loolahoop posted recently that she found in Facebook which I'll bump and it's about the fast loser and the slow steady loser. I have bumped it to the top of the threads so have a look. Keep at it. SW is about changing your mindset about food which you seem to be doing. I'm a bit of a slow and steay loser. I had a STS this week but that means I have to change something cos I'm in a bit of a rut. Maybe some days on EE will shake things up for you. Good luck and keep at it :)

Dont feel down. I worked out the other day that my average loss since I started SW has been 1.3lbs a week. Doesn't sound much. But, my starting weight was 13st 4 was wearing a size 18 and am now 11st 6.5 and wearing size 14-16 depending on fit and I feel so much better about myself.

I started in April so have been at this for a while, but to be honest I feel like it's passed quickly.

On weeks when i've had small losses - 1lb or 0.5lbs I just tell myself that it's not a race. I genuinely want to change the way I eat and be healthy for life

Stick with it x

Are oyou sure you're eating enough & drinking enough water? Especially if you're exercising every day? You need to up your intake of water to at least 2 litres a day to help with any potential water retention around your limbs. Plus if you've massively increased your exercise regime without increasing your food intake correspondingly your bodys probably holding on to food abit.
