I got weighed today for the first time in two weeks as I have been on holiday (Stayed 100% as ever) and I have lost 11lb. That's 50lb's in 10 weeks. I still can't quite believe it.

Anyway. I still have 23lb to go but the pharmacist says I should start to re-feed in 4 weeks time. I think he is working on the idea that I would have lost another stone in 4 weeks and I will lose the last of the weight re-feeding and following the low fat diet.

It's great to think that I can enjoy a meal once more with my poor, patient husband but I am really scared of the idea of eating! Does that sound barmy?

I'm frightened of putting weight on again and I think I have got so used to not eating, I don't think about food too much. I sort of don't want to eat. It's a strange feeling. Does anyone else feel like this?:scale:

Hey :) Well done for your weight loss, thats amazing to lose so much so quickly, im a long way away from the refeeding bit as this is only my third week but i can imagine how scary it must be. Im sure that if you follow the refeed plan then you will be just fine. Well done again and let us all know how you get on x x

Well done on being 100% whilst on holiday, you must be a very determined person to do that. Well done on the 11lbs too.

50lbs in 10 weeks in fantastic!

Last year on LT I was quite nervous about eating to begin with but as it got closer I was really looking forward to it. I think we all worry about putting the weight back on again. The one thing to remember is if we go back to our old eating habits (after any diet) we will put the weight back on (I can definitely vouch for that!!). We really do need to be in control of the food and not the other way round, well that's my view for me anyway.

Don't go worrying though, you have done such a fantastic job so far on the first part of the journey. Just follow the refeed sheet to the letter and you will be fine. Think of the refeed and maintenance as stage 2 of the plan.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, you are very determined so you will have no problems.

Thank you both for your positive response. Nickie all the best with the diet. I have found it very easy, I hope you do too.

Bev, that is wonderful advice. I will see it as part two of the plan. I'd not looked at it that way before; it has really helped me. I am still nervous that I will immediately start to gorge myself on all the food that I have been deprived of but I'm hoping that the fact that I am even thinking of these issues is a sign that I won't go down that road. Lets hope I'm right! All the best to you both. xXx

Bev is spot on! Lipotrim is only the start of your journey. Maintaining the losses will be the real work. Since finishing Lipotrim I have followed a GL regime both to maintain my LT loss and to lose a bit more. It was easy to switch to it as I already had broken all my bad habits after six months on LT.
Eating again after LT is scary but just follow the refeed sheet to the letter. Start planning your menus now, write them all up and have your shopping list done. Maybe also use a site like myfitnesspal to count your calories as well. To still lose a bit , you will probably need about 1350 cals a day. Anyway, don't fret as you will have plenty of support here.

Hi and again congratulations with your loss. I completely understand about the being scared to eat. I did TFR for three months (with a one night break over the Easter) my re-feed loomed around the same time as my lad's 16th birthday and a holiday to Brighton. So I was really worried. But I made sensible choices when out eating (so not a proper refeed) and I was really pleased with the outcome.

Eventually my worry turned to excitement about all the healthy food choices I could make. Still takes me ages to shop for food, but for the first time I do actually enjoy food shopping now. What I still have to deal with is buying too much at one time and not being able to get around to eating it!!

My treat today - scallops...so got to go and google how best to cook them now!
