I had my weigh in yesterday and i was quite surprising to have gained a pound. When i say surprised, i mean that I'm surprised that it wasn't any more. To put it bluntly, i had another bad weekend, I just don't know whats wrong with me - come Friday, regardless of the consequences I'll go and get a bottle of wine, which leads to snacking, which leads to a hangover, which leads to 'hangover' food in the morning, which leads to MacDonald's for lunch ..... you get the picture. So this weekend I've decided that I'm just not going to go to the supermarket at all on Friday after work, if i need anything I'll get it on Saturday.
It must be the whole 'start of the weekend' thing, cos I'm usually able to say 'no' on a Saturday night. I've had the whole day to eat healthily, and then in the evening i don't want to ruin all my hard work by drinking, but thats not to say that i wouldn't eat healthily on a Friday though its just really annoying.
I think as well that the amount that I'm walking has affected the amount i put on. I've recently made a decision to walk to work, which is about 2.5 miles, and takes about 50 mins. I also brought a pedometer and with that walk included I'm doing about 12000 steps a day, which is quite good.
So this week, I've decided to wipe the slate clean, and forget about the disaster that was last weekend, i feel re-focused and determined so hopefully I'll have a good weight loss. I realised actually that I've been doing SW for 6 weeks, which is surprising actually, in that space of time I've lost 7.5 pounds, which I've gotta say I'm a little bit disappointed about. That works out at a little over a pound a week. I do want to lose the weight slowly, as i know it has more chance of staying off but i also want to lose it a little quicker than that, 2 pounds a week, so I'm definitely going to start keeping a food diary and trying to make an entry here as often as i can.
