Just to confirm official guidance is currently a small glass of calorie free drink per day as a MAXIMUM.
I recommend to all clients that they avoid them like the plague as from experience it knocks some people off of the diet.
I know people will always say that they drink them and it hasn't affected their loss etc but firstly it definately affects some people and secondly you can't be sure it hasn't affected your loss as you may have lost more without them.
