Roast Chicken

Just wondered - cooking roast chicken tonight and i know the meat is free providing i don't eat any of the skin, but if i want to start it off with a little oil - can this be used as a hexb??

Had a little break so just need reminding.

just wondering why would you start it off with a bit of oil? I would roast it breast down for half an hour then turn it the other way for the rest of the time ensuring its not sitting in its own juices then when you take the skin off its all free honey
