Tuesday 28th May - Joined Slimming World.

Hiya, my names Ruth. I'm 22 and have been an up and down in weight for the last 7 years. My biggest success at SW was back in 2009 when I lost 6 stone in 7 months....unfortunately I have spent the last three/four years putting on 8 stone and have decided enough is enough.

So here it goes again - and this time I will learn from my previous ways and if I manage to loose this 6 stone I want to loose I will do everything I can possibly do to keep it off!

I have tried to ensure correct syns are found however if I am wrong, please do let me know as it has been a while!

Unless stated all days are Extra Easy, all items are free unless a syn value of HEX letter appears after the item and all drinks are Pepsi Max (which I drink waaaayy too much of), Robinsons no added sugar squash , Green Tea and Water


Wednesday 29th May 2013 Day 1

Breakfast - Mullerlight Toffee, Grapes

Lunch - Sainsbury's Chicken Tikka Breast pieces cooked, Be good to yourself cottage cheese with chives, x2 satsumas

KFC Style Chicken -x1 brown bread (1/2 B), herbs, Cajun spice, salt, 1/4 oxo cube, garlic powder, chicken, egg, frylight, 'Smash Pizza' - smash 40g dried (not sure of syn value so I have decided to syn as 6) if anyone knows please let me know, tomato puree, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, 40g light cheese(A), Lemon May - 4TBSP extra light mayo, lemon juice and grated lemon grind (2)

Sunday 9th June 2013 Day 11 - went to cosford airshow

Brunch - Jacket Potato with beans and cheese (A) (I left most of the cheese so it ended up looking less than a 30g portion of cheese however this is an estimate)

Monday 10th June Day 12

Lunch -
Jacket Potato with vegetable chilli (i had this from baguette du monde and appears to be just beans, peppers, chillis, herbs and onion in a tomato sauce. Although most veg chillis are free i am going to syn to be on the safe side with 2 syns) (2)

Dinner -
Cottage Pie (lean mince 30g (1), mushrooms, onions, carrots, oxo cube, bisto powder (0.5)), potato & quark for mash [i only had a little bit before i walked the dog as i was going to have Dinner after but never got round to it]

Saturday 15th June Day 17

Breakfast - SW Omlette - frylight, 3 eggs, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, 1/2 can tuna, 2tbsp lighter mayo (1)

Dinner - Thai green chicken curry with rice - I did this slightly different to the recipe as I used what I could find/had

Ingredients - x3 chicken breasts, 210ml of coconut milk fresh (3), 2tbsp green thai curry paste (2), 2tsp very lazy lemongrass paste, 1/2 pot of muller greek coconut yoghurt (1), 3tbsp quark, salt, sweetener, lemon juice, dried coriander, mushrooms, onions, frozen mixed peppers, rice.

serves 3 = 2syns per serving.


I cooked the onions, mushrooms and peppers and put them to one side, put the rice to boil and then cooked milk and green curry paste for a few minutes and added the chicken and left for 5 minutes, added the lemongrass, yoghurt and quark to thicken, added the salt, sweetener and mushrooms, onions and peppers, left to simmer for 10 minutes, added the coriander and a bit of lemon juice and left for a further 5 mins

Snacks - Alpen light lemon drizzle, alpen light cherry bakewell (B), fat free greek style muller coconut yoghurt (1.5)
