Scan Bran Querie - Is this in the right place?

I won the raffle this week, all the ingredients to make scan bran weetabix cake, which I tried on Monday and loved.

Made one last night, and I don't think the scan bran was mushed up enough (still nice!) What I wanna know is, how much water do you use and for how long? As I'm not sure I did it for long enough!

I've not made this for years but when I did make it I soaked it until it was a complete mush of bran and water, no lumps whatsoever!
Probably the longer you can leave it, the better.
