As scan bran is 87% Wheat Bran I was just wondering if could I just substitute it with Wheat Bran itself. I'd imagine the 13% other ingredients of rye flour and water are to bind it all together. Therefore as 5 scan bran = 110 kcals and 55g Wheat Bran is 110 kcals can I just use straight wheat bran as my hexB? I'm thinking this would be grand as I only grind up the scan brans anyway into a powder to mix into things. It would also be a huge cost savings. Thoughts please?
