I just bung the whole lot in a pan raw mince carrots onions herbs bit of passata oxo cubes pepper salt and water and keep boiling till most of the liquid has disappeared never been watery because it all gets boiled away
I always add a tin on baked beans. It makes a great thick sauce, and by adding a beef stock cube gives it a great creamy and beefy taste --> YUM YUM YUM
a couple of teaspoons of marmite into the mixture gives a lovely flavour and don't worry if you hate marmite. It doesnt end up tasting of marmite I promise .
When I make it I am on an extra easy day so I always throw in a tin of baked beans with the mince and onions etc. Would suggest not putting as much water in perhaps?
I just stick with oxo really, but i dont use too much water with it, i also add some carrot and swede in with my mashed potato, which is quite nice, good way to use up free foods!!! xxx
