Yummy Mummy! xx
Whenever I make a shepards pie using stock its very watery. Does anyone have any ideas on how to thicken it up? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you! xx

I just bung the whole lot in a pan raw mince carrots onions herbs bit of passata oxo cubes pepper salt and water and keep boiling till most of the liquid has disappeared never been watery because it all gets boiled away :)

what do you put on top? just mash without butter/milk?

Thanks guys!!!! Might try boiling and adding some passata to thicken! x

I always add a tin on baked beans. It makes a great thick sauce, and by adding a beef stock cube gives it a great creamy and beefy taste --> YUM YUM YUM

a couple of teaspoons of marmite into the mixture gives a lovely flavour and don't worry if you hate marmite. It doesnt end up tasting of marmite I promise ;).

I just stick with oxo really, but i dont use too much water with it, i also add some carrot and swede in with my mashed potato, which is quite nice, good way to use up free foods!!! xxx
