Should I be moving up the plans yet?

#1
My start weight was 13st 5lb. I'm now 10 st 8lb ten and a half weeks on :D

My losses are really tailing off AND I am starting to feel really hungry having been fine all the way through this process so far.

1) Is it normal to start feeling hungry at this stage?
2) Linked to the first one really - should I be moving up the plans as I am getting nearer to normal BMI? Is my body trying to tell me that?

BTW my BMI is now 26.

I'd be grateful for your wisdom!

i think it could be more a mental thing....the closer i've been getting to goal, my losses have decreased to 2 or 3lbs a week (from 5 or 6lbs) and my belly rumbles more...but thats becuase i know mentally i am near the end of Stage 1 of the diet! So i'm thinking about food more, i'm spending time imagining being "normal" with my eating etc

At BMI25 you are classed as "healthy" and your not allowed to to do SS/SS+ at this stage so you have to go onto 810 but you can then stay on 810 until goal which is usually when you would start progressing into maintenance.

So in answer to your question, yes, it is normal because its your food head creaping back in and No, you dont HAVE to start moving up the plans until you hit 25 although some people like to do SS+ for a week before hitting 810, i dont think its a necessity!

hope that helps hun

Hi there

I felt the same way as you and decided it was my bodies way of telling me to take the next step. I lost my last stone and a half on the plans and I think it really helped prepare me for maintenance.

Yes, I felt the same way too at that point. I didn't lose much going up the plans, but then my goal was approx BMI25 anyway, so needed to eat at that point.

You'll soon need to be on 810 anyway and if you feel hungry now, it would certainly be a good idea to go onto SS+, then 810. Then take it week by week, moving up the plans if you feel it's right.
