Sickly sweet taste

Has anyone had this? The past week I've had this sickly sweet taste/smell in the back of my throat, it's hard to explain but it's like when you breath you can taste something sweet in my own breath. I've tried brushing my teeth more often (3 times instead of the normal 2), I stopped having any sweetener for a couple of days, but that never helped any.

The one thing that sprung to my mind was diabetes, but I had tests for that not even 2 weeks ago, during blood tests for something else. But that came back fine.

It's really annoying me because it tends to alter the taste of everything I eat.

hi the only thing i can think of is ketosis (not sure if thats spelt right) perhaps ur not eating many carb related foods when u go into it its meant to smell like peardrops

not to be the bringer of doom but the only 2 times I've had a "sweet" taste at the back of my mouth was just before i had an infection (one throat infection, one tooth of evil!)
hope its neither of these things hun xx
