I don't really know where to start apart from say that I've twice done LT and twice gone back to the same way of eating.
I sort of put my eating demons at bay, but then when I come off LT, I never seem to properly address them, so go back to eating exactly the way I did before.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm back to try again. Well, I will be from next Thursday.

I next get money on the 25th and I've decided I'm going to go back on LT. I do feel highly embarassed but I think I'll feel more embarassed if I let this continue any longer.

What get's me, is that I look in the mirror, the size I am now and I detest myself....so why do I let myself get this way?

It's not like I like it or anything.

So...I thought I'd say hi, get to know some of you, those who I don't know, hopefully get back in touch with those I've lost contact with and just try and get myself prepared for the long slog ahead.

This time, there'll be no break for Christmas.

Hi there :) I'm also a restarter, this is my Day one and I've a good 8 stone to lose, if I even lose half on TFR I'll be happy then a bit on maintenance and the rest on ww. Obviously I'd love to stay on TFR the entire way but I also need to learn to eat properly and if ive still weight to lose then I'd be more strict with ww. Mentally I have to take this stone by stone.x good luck and get excited x

    Thanks everyone.

Well, I finally braved the scales tonight and I weigh 18 Stone on the dot. The heaviest I've ever been in my life. The last 2 times I was on LT, I weighed around 17 Stone at the start, so that's more work for me. :( I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself.

I want the ground to open up and swallow me whole. :'(

    Hi Abbie,

Remember me...I re-started last week too at my heaviest. Don't worry about anything....just focus this week on getting prepared for LT next week. Enjoy the rest of this week and go for it 100% when you start. You know that you can do it and it will be life changing. Keep focused.......the easy part is starting as you know and the worst is maintaining it as you know.....so if you really want to do this you can!!! We are all in this together sweetie!!! Go for it!!

We all feel disgusted at ourselves, disappointed, and ashamed when we start our weight loss journies. The first, the third, the tenth attempt - each time that bit heavier and feeling that bit worse.

Put those bad feelings about yourself behind you. Draw a line under that part of your relationship with food and eating and look ahead. Just by deciding to restart properly again you have taken a big step forward. By posting so honestly about your feelings and your pain you have cleansed your guilt. The slate is wiped clean and you are now beginning the long road to the weight you want to be! That is real progress. Don't let the past 'videotapes' in your head torment you for as much as one more day. Hit the pause button!

Good luck and be brave. You did it before, you CAN do it again x

Hiya Funky, yes I remember you. :D It's nice to see a familiar face round these parts, even if the circumstances are a bit dire for us, but hello again and I look forward to seeing how you get on on your journey.

Girlygirl, thank you so much for your kind words. The only thing freaking me out right now is the deal with Christmas.
Last year I refed for 2 weeks so I could have Christmas off and I struggled to get back on and then when I finally did, money stuff came up. :( So I'm kind of trying to decide on whether I can brave Christmas with just staying on LT. I think I'm going to have to sail through this Christmas with no food and at least TRY to remember that it's just food, I'd only be eating bad stuff for me, but it's not helping me right now. However, that's 4 months away so who know's what tomorrow will bring, let alone 4 months.

I'll keep you all posted, will be ringing the chemist tomorrow to let them know I'm coming in on Thursday. Hopefully I won't have to do the whole DVD thing. I'll get it if I have to and take it back and say I've watched it or something.

xx Will keep you all posted xx

Just wanted to say Hi. I'm new to Lipotrim (though not to dieting) but I too, am planning an LT Christmas. It is a scary prospect but I believe that it will actually be easier to have no Christmas goodies at all, than to trust myself to 'be sensible'; I know from bitter experience (I've see-sawed my way from 9 st 7lbs to 19 st 7lbs over the past 25 years) that I can't do that. I'm sure It will work better for you too. Chin up

Thank you Denise, at least I can comfort myself in knowing I won't be alone and can maybe treat myself on Christmas Day to a mint choc shake or something lol! :) xx

Hiya Justin, long time no speak stranger. Where have you been? I tried to PM you but it won't let me for some reason, probs cos you've not posted enough times.

Well, just to update you all. I've not started yet. I've got my driving test next week and have had to pay a big chunk of money for lessons and for use of the car on the day, so getting that out of the way and then I'll be starting after that on the Friday, hopefully. :)

    xx

Hi Abbie, we've kept in touch on Facebook but I just wanted to say hi on here and good luck! You can do it sweetheart and you will, do it for you and do it for Ethan and do it now whilst you're still young! Being fat is hideous and it just gets harder to lose the older you get......

We're with you all the way x

hi Abbie, hope things are going well. Just a quick thought/question about your money thing. Have you ever sat down and actually work out how much you do spend each week on your own food?

If you do that and then calculate the difference between food v lipotrim I have a feeling that you won't see it as being much 'more' money, if any more at all.

I used to spend a few quid each week on wine, so I calculated that into it as well, including the lunch at work, the occassional buy from the mobile snack van, and then the supermarket shop - LT for me actually works out cheaper for the household.

I have a teenage son that I obviously have to still buy food for, but I now give him £25 per week and he chooses what he wants, that has the added bonus of not throwing food out that I've selected for him and he doesn't 'fancy'. As soon as the sell by date on anything hits he won't touch it... grrr. So in fact our food bill is currently £61 per week, where it was probably more around £80 (all in), with no wastage except on my waistline!!

    Good luck Lisa x
