Simply Filling Recipe Photo Diary

Thanks for the advice you too!

I feel better about it all now. I think I just need to plan my time when I am alone like you have both suggested. It could have been worse and I didn't eat the haribos, icecream or cheese.

I'm having a pp today, actually I've managed to have only 7pp all day. A I want to enjoy my Greek meal tonight. They do the most amazing kebabs, with rice and salad. They are grilled but always seem to be oily even if its chicken. I'm just going to enjoy it and run it off in the morning.

They bring out a free starter of fresh pitta breads and dips, humous, olives, a salsa type thing. All yummy. I don't think i can resist.
So a 100% SF day tomorrow as I'll assume all my points are used. Then WI Monday :)

I'll catch up with people's diaries tomorrow! I hope you enjoy your Saturday nights

Well I'm currently having to take my own advice and distract myself away from chocolate! I've no weeklies left and use all my dailes. I'm normally so good but I have my period and blaming that! :p

I hope you enjoy your night - it sounds fantastic! x

How did it go? Did you manage to resist the food? I hate that time, I always crave food. Not any type. Just food lol

Anyway this may seem like a random change but I'm actually switching to slimming world. It's pretty much the same as SF but more structured and I get cheese lol!

The reason being I have the books and two friends doing the same plan. I'm not going to do the extra easy plan. I am going to follow green and red. So that means I have the option of bread in my healthy extras. I have followed SF for a year ish on and off and feel the change will do me good. Plus I love the slimming world recipe board on this forum.

I don't think the plan will change what I eat much but the new diet may motivate me to stay on track.

I have also made a new rule - Weigh myself once a week and no more.

I'll stick around to follow diaries, but will prob create a new one for me at some point. I actually don't like having a diary much so maybe I won't. Who knows lol. Wish me Luck

So yesterday I thought I'd make a quick recipe I saw as it was simply filling. I saw the recipe here http://www.theburlapbag.com/2012/07/2-ingredient-cookies-plus-the-mix-ins-of-your-choice/

Sounded too good to be true, oats and banana = cookie.

I used Oats, banana, sweetener and vanilla and here is how it went.

They tasted okay but I think next time I will add some dried fruit or nuts and spend the extra propoints.

These look great!! X

Good luck with slimming world. It is pretty similar so as you said probably won't change what you eat much and the "free" cheese is awesome. That's kind of why I have added in 30g of cheese "free" each day into simply filling rather than using the activity points I earn during the week. Have a look for "Honeyoc" 's diary over their. She cooks awesome food!

I never thought of adding cheese to my sF foods lol!
I did WI this morning and I'm 1.5lbs down from last week. Which is kinda crazy after a weird 6 days and no exercise.

Thanks for the diary link Atomic, I have just followed her. I'm kind of excited to try some new recipes and I know I could follow most the SW things on SF. But it is the mentality that I am doing something new.

Good luck with SW hun :) You're right, it's pretty much the same and I'm sure you'll get some more good losses. I've always thought about trying SW for that very reason but I feel like WW is so engrained to me, that I wouldn't be able to do it!

Well done on the loss this week - that's fantastic! xxx

Good luck with sw!
I actually lost 3st with sw green days in 2010/11 so it does work and like you said its very similar to sf. X

It is going well so far. I have done 5 green days and this is my first extra easy day.

But what I have realised is I don't eat much bread, so I use my HEXB on oats. Which are free on SF. Then I don't eat much cheese. So I think I am actually still doing SF while following the SW plan. As 15 syns is about 7pp.

If that makes sense. I just don't have the option to pp a day.
I will see how my WI is on Monday :)

Does sound a bit like you are SF-ing on SW. No harm in that at all. I guess it's just a case of whichever one you feel most comfortable with as they are so similar, as you said.

Good luck for weigh in.

They are so similar it's just finding which one suits you best :) x

Okay! So I feel a bit of a failure after only one week trying slimming world! But I quit lol.
I did lose 1.5lbs and my bmi is now 24.8 which is very good news.

I think weight watchers is in my brain and there are more positives for me on the simply filling plan. I also find it easy to track. But I'm glad I tried it for a week, but I ended up buying a packet of pasta n sauce because it was free. I also ate a mug shot. And a tin of chickpea dahl. I never normally eat shop made food. Maybe I did this because it was free. But I'm back to simply filling where I can't cheat with the cooking

Tomorrow's Plan

Breakfast - 1/2 Tesco seeded wrap (Im calling this free as I'm only having half) egg, mushroom, ham. 1 x SF Banana Muffin(Recipe on SF board)
Lunch - CousCous with butternut squash, pepper, mushrooms, tomato and Courgette
Dinner - TBA - Im going to my mums, she cooks from scratch always so I imagine it will be pretty much SF.
Snack - Apple, Banana, Orange, WW Yogurt 2pp, 1/2 of some black pepper popcorn 1pp

= 3pp

4pp left for dinner.

Dinner - 2 Slices lean pork with carrot, mash potato and parsnip.
Muller Light Yogurt (boohoo 2pp)

Great Day!!

I don't count points for any low fat yogurts lol :p coz they are free on the American list so I tweak!

Great news on the healthy BMI well done :) x

Cheers! Might stick to that rule. I don't go crazy eating yogurts anyway.

Okay I'm back!
I think I switched back from SW to SF but didn't give myself a start date and therefore have not been sticking to any plan. Tut Tut. I can't seem to get my head in it this year. Anyway this is my plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast
3 x SF Banana Muffins, Banana
Lunch
Sweet Potato & Lentil Dahl with wholemeal rice
Carrot Sticks, Celery Sticks & Reduced Fat Houmous (2pp)
Dinner
Meat Free Meatballs, Mash, Peas and beetroot
Snacks
Apple, Orange, Pear, Yogurt

= 2pp (I'll add extra snacks as I go)

The Tesco meatfree meatballs arn't strictly free but the quorn brand are. In comparison they look the same and have similar fat content. I find the quorn products quite bland.

Plus I look like a pig with the free muffins but they are little lol. The equivalent of 35g of porridge each.

Very excited to get into my new fitness routine. My friend has lent me Jillian Michaels Body Revolution. It's a 3 month plan. A different work out each day. I guess it is a easier version of Insanity. 6 days a week.
