Slimming World vouchers on prescription/from Doctor's?

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked loads before but I've just discovered you can get 12 week courses of slimming world from your GP.
Does anyone know if this is avaliable in the Manchester area or if it varies around the country?
(Just did a quick search but could'nt find another thread)

My surgery doesn't offer them. Just call your dr office and the staff should be able to tell you. I think you have to have a pretty high bmi and possibly be on benefits.

My BMI is currently 31 and i have mild asthma. I work full time but will give surgery a ring after lunch and find out, nothing lost by asking!

Bah, just phoned the doctors and receptionist says they don't do SW on referral. Still going to join but was worth a try.

Yup. And it's only £4.95 per week. I used to spend that every second day on a bottle of wine....... Oh dammit! Now I want wine
