and made my eldest Daughter laugh...!

Went in to town on Friday for some shopping and was looking thru the clothing and trying loads on (she is 13)... we went in to New Look and for once I didnt need to shop in the fat bit LOL!.. anyway, thought I would have a look for my old size trousers and see how big they were so I dug out a pair of size 28's... (dont u love how they fold the waistband up to fit them on the hanger LOL)... anyway, I held them out for my Daughter to see and I could have cried for happiness and embarassment really! She didnt believe it was every possible for me to be that big for a start but I also got a HUGE shock as to how huge they were.. and then got hit with being chuffed for now being much smaller.. I could literally stand my whole body in ONE of the legs.. sheesh thats an image that wont leave me for a while...
I almost wanted to buy them just so I could hang them up and make me realise how different I am - body image is wrecked for me so I need to get my head to catch up with my body..

certainly a shocker for both of us!
Sorry for waffle, thought I would share!

Donna, I take my hat off to you. To go from a size 28 to an (almost!!!) 16 is outstanding. You should be so proud of yourself. I'm proud of you. Keep going lady. Those thighs will be a dim and distant memory before too long. LOL.

I absolutely love this!

It's so easy for us to forget how far we've come and focus on the bad day or week we're having instead of the fantastic work we've already done.

Oh to shop for a "normal" size! I was looking for shorts yesterday and my hubbie suggested looking on the website he was looking on. Their XL was equivalent to a 14!!!!!!!! :( He struggles to understand how an XL can't fit me :(

For a 14 to be classed as an XL is outrageous and to my mind sends out a dangerous and subversive message. What website was it?:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That is just bloody ridiculous. God, I get so mad about this body facism. I feel for mums trying to raise healthy daughters with positive body images and high self-esteem. The fashion industry doesn't do them any favours.
