Stapo60 Diary of The Slimming Year.

Well folks, here I am again after my sojourn to the lovely city of Dublin. Was off plan for a total of 9 days. Arrived in Dublin Thursday, with my darling wife, spent the afternoon on the tour bus of the city, then into Temple Bar for 10-12 pints of Guinness and a Doner Kebab.
Friday morning a Full Irish Breakfast was much appreciated followed by a tour of the Guinness Storehouse (a couple of free pints) then a Lebanese lamb Tagine meal, and a visit to Vicar St theatre to see Neil Delemare (V Funny).
Saturday morning another full Irish was the order of the day, and a hike to the Jameson Distillery and another tour including free whiskey. Walked back to Temple Bar to watch the footie and rugby, another 10-12 pints and (yes) another kebab.
Sunday was a touristy walk round the shops and sight seeing, a seafood chowder to die for. A couple of pints and a flight home that night.
Got home at midnight.
As previously stated I wasnt going to weigh myself, but couldnt resist it.
So Monday morning on the scales...
I had a gain of 16 lbs (SIXTEEN).
So have been TS since then and weighed myself this morning and have lost 14 lbs.
Which goes to show that I can shift the fluids pretty easy, so long as its a one off.
Next week is my B'day so no drinks etc.
But will be having a day out on St Patricks day 17th March.
I hope I havent bored you all with my adventures, but thats how it is.....

Welcome back matey :D glad to hear you had a really great time. Lot's of liquid libations and lovely food....what more could you wish for.

I must admit I admire your stamina - how on earth you got up everyday without a honking great hangover after 10 -12 pints of the 'black stuff' I'll never know. I'd have been on the floor after 1 or 2 (yep, am a complete lightweight - though if it were wine, would be a whole different story......)

Well done for losing 14 of those 16 (pleasurable gains) and I reckon, with your track record, those other 2 (plus a few more) will be gone soon.

Have a nice birthday next week and good luck with the whole 'getting back into ketosis' thing.

As usual Suseka you are a breathe of fresh air. I did have a brilliant time.
I used to drink like that every weekend, but NOT the NEW me.
Special occasions only etc.
I am enjoying being the new me and have just ordered a new pair of jeans for Paddys day that are 14" smaller than my original pantaloons (nice).
Thanx again.

Ok had a quick weigh in this morning.
Loss 2 more lbs, so I am registering this week as STS.
So after my hols no official gains. Which is nice.
Stapo

That's brilliant well done Glad you both had a good time :)

You were no time getting those holiday lbs off.
Bet you enjoyed putting them on ;)

Cheers Lovin, yes it was a very enjoyable time.
Am over the moon that I shifted the excess lbs so kwickly, it goes to show it must be water retention and as soon as you go 100% TS it disappears.
My next target is to lose a stone before St Patricks day, that will take me into the 20's.
Thanx again for your support.
Stapo

Sounds like you had a great time :) My mouth was literally watering at the thought of those cooked breakfasts!
It's also great news that the extra weight was gone before your official weigh-in...I took 5 weeks to get my Christmas weight off (although I was off-plan for over three weeks and gained 22lbs!)

Good luck for the next few weeks! Those 20s are calling your name :)

Hey hun you sound like you had a fab time in Ireland (I wanna go there one day, although not for the guiness!)

Absolutely well done on losing the weight you gained on holiday so quickly.
You'll have the stone you want off by st. patricks day no problem.

Keep up the good work! :D

Cheers Blue had a brill time so am in recuperation now.
It's just me and 100% TS.
Lol

Just had an e mail from Minimins wishing me a Happy Birthday, which is nice.
Stapo

Hope I'm not too late to wish you a very :birthday:....with a big bunch of :553: and an even bigger :hug99: Not sure how many :candle1: you'll be blowing out, but no eating that cake :D

Hope your celebrating in style with a :party0011: and lots of :party0049: :party0049: Enjoy the day and - just think - this time next year you'll be another 5 1/2 stone lighter - whooop!

Cheers Suseka, great support as usual.
I have had a small portion of Spag Bol with my family for tea.
They got me a cake and I blew out the candle. But I did not partake of the cake and cream. No alcohol either.
So I have been very good.
And I like the thought of being 5 1/2 stone lighter next Bday. LOL.

Omg big thank you... I've just read your diary (very inspirational), and you've enlightened me!!! I've been on naproxen for over a year and I thought they were really good as no side effects!!! I had been close to maintaining my weight from LL up until a year ago.... And then I started to pile it back on at a ridiculous rate. I stopped taking them a few weeks before I started this diet as I wanted to see if the weight loss makes any impact to my back problems...
Thank you so much.. I could have easily started to take them again and ruined everything.

Nixib I am glad I have been able to help.
Stay off the Naproxen and get your doc to give u something else.
I found it most worrying that even though my GP knew about my diet he still gave me naproxen. It's mad.
Anyways once I stopped takin them all went back to normal.
Hope this helps Stapo

Ok, here we go it's wk 20, and this weeks results are a loss of 3.5lbs, that's a running total of 80.5lbs.
I am quite pleased with the results so far, and look forward to shifting the next 80lbs.
Stapo xx
