7oz plain flour
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp cinnamon
3½ oz low fat spread
1½ oz splenda
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp icing sugar - sifted
1 tsp pink sprinkles
Preheat oven to 180C 350F GM4
Mix flour spices spread and splenda until combined
Stir in beaten egg
Bring dough together then wrap in cling film and put in fridge for half an hour
Take out and split into two - roll them out to 5mm thick
Cut out using 2" star cutter and put on baking sheet lined with parchment
Create a hole in the biscuits to thread ribbon though later
Bake for 12 minutes and put on one side to cool
To decorate:
Mix icing sugar with enough water to make a thin icing and drizzle on the biscuits
Add sprinkles and leave to set
Thread ribbon through hole and hang on tree - they will start to soften after a couple of days
Makes about 50 biscuits
