    Need some hints to get through the first few days! Any suggestions?

    I'm starting tomorrow too and am a lot nervous! Never done a diet like this before. Really hoping I can stick to it! From what I have gathered so far drinking lots of water is the biggest key - seems the more you drink the more you lose. I'm going to try to get myself into a routine with water and set little targets throughout the day.

    You'll prob find the first few days quite tough, especially if you've never done it before. However, just drink loads of water.. I find a pint after each shake helps to fill me up. In 3 days times you'll feel so much difference and things will start to get a lot easier... Once you feel the weight falling off if will give you so much motivation to keep going.     Well I'm well into the day, I have had 1.5lt of water and no coffee which is a miracle for me. Going to keep coffee to a minimum as it's really not good the amount I usually have!

    I have my shake with me for lunch then a shake and soup this evening so hoping that will make it more manageable.

    I've done the diet before so it should be easy....it never bloomin is!

    I'm surviving but my OH is sitting next to me eating burgers right now. I figure if I can get through this I can get through anything! I just can't wait for ketosis to kick in. I always felt awesome on it when I did dukan.
    Got a bit management meeting at work tomorrow on day 3. Hoping I don't get bad headaches or anything, I've usually been ok with transition before but never done it on Cambridge so we'll see.

    Hi lizz! Starting Cambridge has been the best decision I've made. I do feel thinner and healthier just a few weeks in! My biggest tip is just keep busy. If you're busy you're not eating! And get a Bobbie that doesn't involve food - turns out all of mine did!!! Haha

    Just finishing day 2 100% and it's been easy to slip into the old routine again.

    Happy with the water I'm drinking, less coffee and more motivation than ever to succeed!

    I'm now in bed at the end of day 3 and I haven't faltered once! Even had a meeting at work today with laid on buffet lunch (and I love a bloody buffet!) but didn't touch anything. Coupled with my OH sitting next to me eating burgers yesterday I am feeling pretty proud of myself. Got family meal out on Sunday for my dad's birthday. Planning on sticking to protein only in the hope it won't kick me out of ketosis - thinking maybe fish and salad or something. Any tips anyone? X

    If you stick to lean meat, fish etc and salad etc it won't knock you out. You'll be fine. X

    Thanks Callie, much appreciated. Made me feel so much better about it. I don't think I've ever dreaded going for a meal before! Just so desperately don't want to ruin my good start! Especially when I turned down Easter cakes and donated an Easter egg my boss gave me to my OH! This had better be worth it!!! X

    Just watch your portion sizes. Salad has carbs and that can throw you out of ketotis if you have too many tomatoes for example.
    Ask for grilled chicken breast with green salad or something like that. It's allowed on SS+

    Getting weighed this morning. Shame really I started the diet Monday, saw my CDC Tuesday PM and then having my first weigh in today because she's on holiday next week. It's going to be crap but I have to remember it's not a true representation of the 5 days I've done ?

    Yeah, as Lizrob said, stick to green salad... The more colorful the veg or fruit (in the tomatoes case) the more carbs they have... Xx

    Thanks for all the advice. I ended up having prawn salad and the salad only consisted of green leaves, cucumber and a bit of onion. Asked for it without dressing too so hopefully no or limited damage.
    had first weigh in on Saturday, which was a day early due to bank holiday & had lost 6lb so was happy with that.
    well done on your results Lizz! Awesome start!!!
