Step 1 Sole Source Started today need your help and support ?

Hi I have just done my first day on sole source. I have done the Cambridge diet before but never managed to have the will power to get beyond about 2 weeks. With your help and support I'm hoping to get about a stone and a half off ASAP I'm going to the gym too to help speed thing up. If anyone else has just started it would be great to hear form you so we could maybe help each other.

Hi Minnie, welcome back! Looking at your previous posts, it looks like you're no stranger to VLCDs. :) I'm sure you're going to do great - you did before! :clap:

Just one thing though - going to the gym won't speed up weight loss, it'll just help you tone up a bit. The danger with doing a VLCD and combining it with strenuous exercise is that the exercise might make you extra hungry and make it harder to stick to SS, particularly during the first couple of weeks. So take it easy for the first week or two to give yourself the best possible chance of sticking with it!

Glad to see another (sort of) newbie. I started today, and I'm a similar height to you although I've got more to lose :eek:. Would be good to egg each other on. Good luck and speak soon hopefully.

I agree with lily about the exercise, softly softly after a couple of weeks then build up :)

Yes been on SS the whole time, and have stuck to it 100%

Hi guys thank you for all your words of wisdom I'm sticking with Cambridge but yes I'm finding it tricky to exercise too but as I'm really enjoying the exercise I've decided to step up my food and I'm feeling much better about it all. I still need will power of steal though so I will be on here reading everyone's wonderful words

Not at target yet, want to be 13 something, but have realised with my massive losses I will continue to loose weight even as I go up the stages, so am trying ss+ for a week and see how I do. Didn't do it because I couldn't manage SS, but am aiming to take about 10 weeks to get back to food so figure potentially I could loose another 20lbs or so, which would take me to 13st 7lb odd... Which is where I want to be :)

You're doing so well :) had my first weigh in today day 13 lost 12lbs :)
