Starting diet on Wednesday - a little question?

I am due to see a counsellor on Wednesday to start on the programme. I am really excited about it, but I have a couple of question which I am hoping you could help me with?

  • How do I prepare my body to cope with the diet? and
  • As you lose the weight so fast, what happens to all the saggy skin?
Sorry if I sound a bit dumb, but these are the only little things that are putting doubts in my mind as to whether this is for me or not, so any help or advice would be great.

Hiya and welcome onboard. In order to prepare it would be good to start cutting down on your carbs and increase your water intake (if you don't already drink plenty of water that is).

Re the saggy skin it depends on so many different things and you may be lucky and not have any. Do remember though that it can take a while after you have lost the weight for your skin to catch up so give it time.

If you do some light exercises - like crunches and stretches - it should firm up your skin as you lose the weight.
