Just wondered if anyone was starting LL over the next week or so. I've joining a class in Reading. I'm excited because I really want to lose weight, but on the other hand I am dreading it and the damage it'll do to my social life.

I have a holiday in July...so i am going to use that as something to keep me focussed.

Would be good to hear from other people starting LL soon.

hello daisy and welcome

I think there is a few on here who have just started. I wouldnt worry about your social like because once you get into the groove and start losing weight you will be so pleased you will be able to go and and socialise and it is amazing hownice sparkling water becomes.

Well done for joining and good luck

thank you..... I think I would find it soooooo much easier if I could only have milk in my tea. I see that you can have milk when you are so many weeks in....
I know what you mean about the milk. I thought it would be a sticking point with me but actually after the first couple of weeks it was fine. I didn't end up doing milk week as I felt after chatting with my LLC that milky tea might lead me to crave other things. I realised that in the days before LL, tea was a trigger that tempted me to snack on biscuits, cake and chocolate. I was a six to eight cups a day girl too! Keep your mind in the right place and in a few weeks you won't even think about tea with milk.
I've now stopped drinking tea and coffee altogether and stick to peppermint tea now - another thing I wouldn't have believed I could achieve a short time ago. My teeth are so much whiter as the tannin stains fade too - just another benefit!
Best wishes - You'll do great!

yeah I guess I am hoping to meet someone in my group... would be good to have someone to pass the time with, go to the cinema etc. Make it less painful
Hey daisy!
Once you can get over the first week you will be fine. It is tough but it is worth it. Drink as much water as you can as it helps a lot. After a week it gets so much easier, then after the next easire still etc etc.
Good luck :)
