Starting RtM on Saturday

#1
Hi RtM-ers
Well I'm finally here. I've decided to start RtM, although not at target after talking to my LLC tonight. I loved being abstinent for the first four months or so as I felt so energetic, my health improved immensely and I just felt really happy all the time. Over the last two months I've felt tired, sometimes dizzy, have had low blood pressure, constipation, piles and mood swings. I've decided that it's better to start re-introducing healthy food as my health is more important than the last two kgs. I'm really hoping it does come off during the next twelve weeks though.

So I think I'm going to have salmon for my first meal, but I wanted to know if it can be poached in the savoury drink mix, rather than steamed or grilled. I had the thought on the way home tonight and wanted to know what you all thought.

How did you all feel prior/ immediately after your first meal? I have a real sense of trepidation. I'm not excited at all, just worried. I didn't break abstinence at all so there are lots of feelings around how my digestion will cope but I'm mostly worried about the emotional side.

Big changes!:sigh:

Yeah - you can poach it in the savoury drink or bouillon powder mixed up. Welcome to RTM - nice to see you here!

You will be fine Linze, honestly, I worried I would eat 1 salmon steak and balloon back up again, but it didn't happen.
I had mackerel on day one and salmon on day 2. I chose them as they are both moist in their own right whereas a chicken breast is too dry to eat alone.
I actually really enjoyed my salmon.
I seasoned with salt and pepper and steamed it, and it was lovely.
You can poach it in the savoury drink, or you can use the soup packs.
Make sure you do your food and mood diaries.

I didn't break abstinence at all and neither did DebG. It didn't have any effect on my digestive system I would say.
I have felt totally fine about eating again, and I am really enjoying it. There is so much veg you can have in salad that I would never have touched before, namely, radish, cauliflower, mushroom, raw pepper and celery.
Once you get over meal one I think you will be just fine.
Don't get hung up on the numbers, you will still lose during RTM and once it has all finished and settled down you can always go back and lose a few extra pounds if you want to.

Welcome to RTM, enjoy it :wavey:

Well done Alibongo - I hadn't realised we'd both stayed abstinent throughout! Let's hope that, coupled with our positive attitude to RTM means that we will be two of LL's real long-term successes!
