It's a great diet and it works if you stick at it 100%. You really need to use your break from food to re-think your attitude to it. If you go back to eating how you have done up to now the weight you lose will go straight back on so that's really important if you want your effort to mean something. The first two or three weeks are hard, and you will have ups and downs after that but this forum is a lifesaver! Come everyday for support & advice.

Good luck - 2 and a half stone will be off by Christmas if you play your cards right!!


You are absolutely right-it is hard! You need to be mentally prepared, but I would say the first week is the toughest. Some people get into ketosis within 3-4 days and then find it a lot easier. Personally it got easier for me after my first WI, I was over the moon!
Just make sure you do not eat anything and have 2-4 litres of water and I am sure you will reach you goal very soon!

hi thanks for your comments i already know where i went wrong with my food,no breakfast,eating rubbish,not haven proper tea's don't get me wrong i do cook for my partner and son but i feel that after i cook it i don't want it.i dont think iam a big eater it's just wrong time's and wrong thing's

but here's to the new me iam starting to day:) and i hope it will be off for xmas

I have vanilla mixed with coffe for brekkie, blended, it is lovely... then chicken soup with lots of chilli flakes for dinner, and the hot chocolate at night, i like all my shakes warm to heat me up.. they will become delish after a while soo dont panic!!!! Nice to c you here xxx

Hi gina welcome to LT and to the forum. i actually find the vanilla one sweeter than the strawberry!! best tip is get the water down ya!! and use this forum in all your spare time lots of tips advice support and chat!! if you can make it through the first week you'll be fine i'm sure!! good luck..:)

hiya and welcome . this is my second week and yes the 1st is the hardest but toward the end of the week it gets easier . look on her for all the spice up you shake sites i found that there ideas helped a lot and stopped the bordem . stick with it and you will see results hunn good luck . ;)

iam looking at food and making food for my son and the other boy that i have in my care and iam tempted.

Be careful of the hot chocolate - I tried it and found it truly disgusting - it goes salty and tastes just like the chicken soup (which I now can't stomach either).
My advice is don't mess with them - just have them as they are and treat them like medicine rather than food - we're not supposed to enjoy them.

Keep coming on here when you feel down or tempted, there's always someone to cheer you up or talk you out of straying. The support and help you get on here is so fantastic and there are some very inspiring people x

The shakes are meant to be horrible but i will say they get much nicer as you go on as your taste buds change. you will be fine just remember this is not an easy way out you are goin to be truly starving for a while but trust me most of its in your head be prepared for your stomach is moan all the time. haha! it sounds horrible but it really does get much easier. im not gonna say it gets easier after 3 or 4 days as i didnt find dat everyone takes different amounts of time to get into it.

You must be dedicated to this diet or unfortunately you will fail it is very mental but saying all these bad tings every SINGLE hardship i have suffered through this diet had been 100 times worth it! It gives amazing results and my attitude has changed drastically.

This site is spectacular i wish i had of having it in my first week. Try ur shakes with lots of crushed ice it makes them more manageable. and definitely try a straw i swear by them now.

Lots of luck on your diet. Agree with all the advice posted so far. Water is your best friend. Keep it with you all th time and you will be fine.

You will grow to love the shakes and will actually look forward to them! I didn't like them at first either, but our tastes change as the time goes on!
