Had liked the step aerobics on the wii fit but found it far too easy and a bit boring.

Ordered EA active more workouts as was getting a bit bored of running around that damn track on the original ea active game, and the newer one had great reviews too.

Done my first workout - already defo prefer it to the first game - the scenery is a nice tropical island and the obstacle course is a MILLION times better than running round the track!! You basically run but every so often theres an "Obstacles" where you have to do a couple reps of an exercise like squats or lunges to get the obstacle to let you past! :)

Then just when I thought it couldn't get any better was having a look through the preset workouts and you can do a half hour step aerobics session! :D its great it uses the wii balance board and rather than just stepping on and off like the wii fit you do leg curls, and high kicks and high knees as well as some basic step and marching! I LOVE IT! Had always wanted a step aerobics game for the wii and was gutted one didn't exist and although not a full game this is great!

Its just over a tenner on amazon for anyone thats interested. Obviously you need a wii and you also need the first game because you need the leg strap and resistance band for it! Just posting incase anyone else is interested.

I wanted more step routines too -I have the EA sports active on its way and the "more workouts" has arrived..really looking forward to using it when the first part arrives

That's great :) I have never been one for exercising much but finding it quite easy to do with the EA active games n- the 30 day challenge can help motivate me or on the newer game its a 6 week challenge where you have to complete a certain number of workouts within the time (20 workouts in 30 days, or 24 in 6 weeks) so not too unrealistic still allows you to have days where you can't be bothered lol!!

The step preset workout is far harder than the WiiFit. The only thing I wish is that it was a continuous 30 mins, not 3 x 10 mins. You can get raisers to make it even harder on Amazon. (or you can get a clever friend/OH to make a platform ;)


Still not motivated to exercise! Or stick to the plan come to that :(

Yeh tempted to get some of the risers. I like that it is much harder than the wii version because I liked it but just found it to not be challenging at all.

I quite like it being 3 lots of ten minutes its not too huge a gap between them and gives you a chance to grab a sip of water!

Don't worry judimac I've recently got back on plan after being off it for weeeeeeks stopped coming on minimins, didn't write my food diary at all and just had no motivation at all for over 2 months eek! The time will come when you are ready to get back in the game properly.

And as I like to remind myself don't feel too guilty about it because just remember how much you would eat pre-SW with no guilt whatsoever!! Puts any little bunges into perspective I think :)
