steroids!

I have a problem, i have infected exzema on my ears and have been put on a 5 day course of steroids will this affect my weight loss? i was too embarrassed to ask

i've no idea about meds with LT but you have to take it.
even if it does knock you out of ketosis,you know your strong enough to keep going as you've done it before and know what to expect.
give lipotrim or your pharmacy a ring to find out for sure hun x

I dont think it will effect your weight loss much but your best bet would be to ask the pharmacy that you get your lipotrim from. If they are not sure, then give lipotrim a call.

I also have exzema on my ear but not as bad so I know how you feel. Hope you get better soon.

I'm currently on long term steroids *sigh* for an arthritic condition...my specialist said I should still be able to lose weight...although it's true that some people can put a lot of weight on when they're on them.

I think it's highly unlikely that a 5 day course will make any impact so don't worry hun!!

I honestly couldn't see the steroids affecting your weight loss. I have read up a bit on taking medications while on LT and it seems to affect different people in different ways. It's a lottery.

Keep taking the steroids as infected eczema is a bloody nightmare. I absolutely hate eczema. I have it but I keep it at bay with a concoction of vitamins, fish oils and minerals. I'm a health shop junkie! I too was worried that all my pills would affect LT but so far they haven't. My chemist wasn't even sure if they would but we said we would keep taking them and see what happens.

I had the dreaded decision of having my eczema come back by coming off them or keep being a chubby mcchubbersome. I chose not to come off them and see what happened. I'm glad I made that decision.

Hi,

Ive had steroids for echzma on LT. I asked about them and the doctor said they are not the same type of steroids that are used to put weight on. I theory it may knock you out and make you hungry but shouldnt impact on weight loss.

Im no expert but hopefully my GP is.

Thanks everyone!, yesterday i looked like the elephant man!!! but after just 2 lots of the pills the swelling has gone down, but thanks for giving me the confidence to last the whole course, as you say i have to take them, what would i do without ya all xx
