Stew recipe help please.

My Mum makes the best stew ever with all the veg under the sun. The problem is that she thickens it up using Bisto Gravy Granules.

I've been looking on here for a stew recipe but I can't seem to find one. Any ideas greatly welcomed. Thanks. x
 
Try adding some smash to thicken it up?
 
When I make stew I ususally remove the lid of the saucepan for the last 30 mins of cooking and it helps reduce the liquid into more of a sauce - it concentrates the flavour more. Also make sure to use a stock cube when cooking, gives great taste.
 
i just used cornflour and syned it, it was a tiny amount.
 
I put in cubed potatoes at the start; they disintegrate and thicken it. I do put a little syn amount of bisto at the end.
