Hi all,

I'm on day 3, and have had a bad day today! I've stuck to it 100%, but I've been starving, and the thought of not having proper food for a few months (at least!) just seems too much!

I really really want to do this, and I'm not giving up (yet), but there has to be a time when I stop feeling hungry isn't there? My sister is also on day 3 and she's feeling sick all the time - it should go in the next day or so shouldn't it? I'm also sooooo tired all the time!

Really sorry for moaning, Think I just need some reassurance that day 3 is normally bad and it'll get better??

In my opinion, day 3 is the worst day of all!! Get through it and you will be well on the road to skinnyville xx

Things will certainly get easier from now on. You both should be going into ketosis soon and the hunger feelings will start to subside (your breath will be bloody vile though;)).

Have you got any ketostix? You can get them through your CDC or from Boots.

I know you've probably heard this a thousand times, but drink as much water as you can, especially your sister if she's feeling any nausea.

Keep in mind your first weigh in, you'll feel so proud of your acheivement, it's so exciting.

It will get better! Day 3 most people feel like zombies but it does start to get better from then. Be week 3 I felt better than I have in years. More energy, clearer skin & needing less sleep. Just focus on getting through the day or even the hour & suddenly it'll be your first weigh in & the success will motivate you from there.

Just to echo what has already been said and yes it will definately get better if you can just hang in there. My appetite has completely gone to the point where I have to force the food packs down just because I know I have to have them (do obviously get the cravings that are just in my mind tho!). Sorry you and your sis are feeling so rough but do try and hang in there for a few more days.

I WILL stick to it, and after my chocolate shake (mmmm) feeling better - think it didn't help that I didn't like the soup I had today (cheese/broccoli) will stick with the veg/chick & mush/oriental chilli I think!

Nice one! It is cruddy at first, I have to be honest. It gets easier and you'll get less hungry.
I'm not one of the jammy sods who never feel hungry due to the ketosis. I do get a bit hungry from time to time, but it's pretty easy to handle.

Good to know you're going to stick with it. I've got my 3rd week WI tomorrow and it's had it's ups and downs...I only lost 1lb in week 2 and that really knocked my motivation...I tried to tell myself it was because it was TOTM and remind myself that I had lost 13lbs in my first week...but has still been tough. These past few days have been my worst as I have felt starving!! I'm not going to give in though...just waiting for the hunger to pass like you. =o)
