I'm confused by this lol so say I have hea of milk and heb of bran flakes for breakfast then have for dinner salad ( lettuce cucumber peppers onion eggs hea cheese spring onion beet root and tuna) then for tea have chicken mushy peas broccoli carrots then 2 heb aldi bars is this right and snack on strawberries grapes tangerines melon muller light yogurts

As long as at each meal the portion of sf is at least 2/3rds then yes, I think your on a winner!

thanks the sf foods r nomally 2/3s now when i eat x

I'm confused too! I thought I was doing really well (today was my 1st ever SE day) but now I'm not so sure! When you're talking 1/3 free, is it EE free, Green free or Red free?! I've only ever done EE, so if I'm only supposed to be eating what's free on red or green to do SE properly, I've definitely ballsed up!

Today I've had

Brekkie
30g weetabix bite size (HEb1)
200ml semi skimmed milk (HEa1)
1 banana
Raspberries
Blueberries
Bowl of grapes

Mid morning
Pineapple chunks

Lunch
75g couscous (13.5 syns on Red - planned on having 25g, but I was starving and it looked such a miserable portion!)
70g Philly light (HEa2)
Quorn ham
Peppers
Tomatoes
Green Beans

Mid arvo
Weetabix oaty bar (HEb2)
Cup of tea w/ milk (HEa1) and sweetener

Dinner
Marinara Sauce (Tinned tomatoes, garlic, spring onions, mixed shellfish)
Approx 75g pasta (It was late and I was huuuuungry!)
Tons of green beans
Bowl of grapes

I actually don't mind if I've not done success express today, cos I've had q a good week so far (I weigh in on a Monday) and, even if I call today an EE day, I've only had about 10 syns, but I REALLY want to understand Success Express!

Would really appreciate any input :)

Hello Slimmer's :D
I have spent the afternoon chatting to three consultants I am friends with & also one of my Slimming World buddies Selina who enjoys doing the Success Express plan.

Now I have sussed it out & understand it I want to give it a try this week.
Thought I'd make this thread so that I could share my meals & so you can help me make sure I am doing it correctly.

Also here is how you do the Success Express if you are unsure :)

Love Stacey xxxx

? WANT TO BOOST YOUR WEIGHTLOSS? ?
? ? THEN TRY SUCCESS EXPRESS ? ?

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS.......

? HAVE 3 MEALS A DAY

? EACH MEAL MUST HAVE 2/3 OF THE PLATE FULL OF SUPER FREE FOODS

? 1/3 OF YOUR PLATE MUST BE FREE FOODS FROM THE GREEN & ORIGINAL PLAN (YOU CAN ENJOY FOOD FROM BOTH PLANS OR FROM JUST ONE IF YOU WISH).

? CHOOSE YOUR HEALTHY EXTRAS. CHOOSE 1 OR 2 HEALTHY EXTRA A CHOICES & 2 HEALTHY EXTRA B CHOICES (THESE CAN BE USED AS PART OF THE MEAL).

? ANY SNACKS YOU EAT INBETWEEN MEALS MUST BE ONLY SUPERFREE FOODS (FOR EXAMPLE FRUIT & SYN FREE YOGURTS).

? STILL ENJOY BETWEEN 5-15 SYNS A DAY (ONLY RULE ON SUCCESS EXPRESS IS YOU HAVE TO COUNT THE HIGHER SYN VALUE..........FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU WERE TO HAVE A SAUSAGE THEN YOU WOULD COUNT THE SYNS AS A GREEN DAY).

? ENJOY & HAPPY SLIMMING ?

Sorry to just re post this but it does really help, except it should say 'snack on sf first, or syn free yogurts.

Oh THANK YOU LucyLu, that's totally answered my question about free foods, how did I not see that?!

But that's great news, sounds like I have done SE properly, and I've got all my SE meals planned for the weekend (am recovering from a nasty cold, so no socialising for me - a good thing for once!) so fingers crossed I get a good loss on Monday; I could really do with one, I've been at more or less the same weight for 4 weeks now!

Have had a few off-plan days and have gained 1.5lb since WI on Thursday.

Am hoping a few Success Express days will get me back on track, never tried it before so fingers crossed!

I'm exactly the same, but my WI day is Monday, so today's my last SE day, so I'll have done 3 days at 100% of plan, then 3 days of SE, so we'll see if that makes up for my naughtiness last Monday night! I'll let you know :)

Good luck with SE, and let us know if you need any help with it at all.

Thank you. Just conscious of everything I eat at the mo trying to make sure it's SE - which can't be a bad thing, I need to be more mindful of what I eat :)

Good luck for WI x

What I did was this:

Went through all my cupboards fridge and freezer making a list of anything sw friendly (which basically was everything bar the little ones treats)

I made a week plan based around the food I already had and said to myself that if I got back on track and only spent my food budget on adding to what I already had in that I could treat myself to something with the leftover.

Ok so it was only a bit and I bought a new nail varnish but the moral of the story was that after just 1 day on plan I felt great, it spurred me on and now I'm looking at a loss this week.

Chin up!

I couldn't agree more, thinking about what you eat is ALWAYS helpful. And SE definitely works, cos I lost 3lbs this week :D Am going to do another couple of days of it this week, cos really want to get back on track completely. How are you getting on with it?

I really feel for you, Vix, I was struggling with that for about a month till last week. I'm not sure what changed in me to make me want to do it again, but I can't emphasise enough how much planning helps - and making sure you always have something free you can grab when you're hungry - whether that's loads of fruit/yoghurt/ ham you can grab, or a big pot of a SW meal you can heat in the microwave in 1 minute and nosh on, that would really help stop you slipping.

It's so tough when you live with someone that eats whatever they want, though! Could you ask your hubby if he could do 1 day of SW eating with you (you could always add oil to his portions, or give him extra cheese over the top or something) and not have any treats when he's around you just for that one day? I really think just one day of being properly on plan will get you back in the head space you need to be.

Good luck, with it, we know you can do it, and let us know if we can do anything else to help.

I had one SE day and have blown the rest of the week :-(.

Really am struggling to get my motivation back - I've been on SW for 7months now and for me it seems that the longer I'm doing it the harder it seems to be to stay on track. Only myself to blame though I guess.

Well done on your loss! That's amazing!!! Shows how fab SW is when you can eat amazing food and lose that much! I really need to get back on plan xx

Thank you :)

It's really tough when your motivation goes, but it's really normal, and you've lost loads so far - 3.5 stone in 7 months is amazing! It's taken me over 9 months to lose my 3.25 stone, so don't beat yourself up too much. I had a whole month of faffing about losing a pound, putting on 2, losing 2.5 putting on 1 etc until last week, and I thought I'd never get out of it, but I did, and you will too. After all, you know the plan works and you know you can do it, so just keep thinking positive, keep thinking about how good it feels to get a great loss and eventually it'll click and you'll get back on it.

Stay strong!
xx
