Susie's 2022 campaign

Thanks Ali, I have Copy Me That too, it's great - but I have the same problem, I clip away and store dozens of yummy sounding things and then forget all about them :D :D. Maybe I'll spend the next few days auditing the recipes I've kept!

Woke up starving this morning again, which is crazy because I had a huge evening meal last night. Dropped off again and now having coffee before a case study interview. Got an offer on the London flat but it's a bit low, so said no, but the chap is going back to view again so cross fingers he comes up a little bit - will mean a huge, very positive change in lifestyle for me once it's sold - no mortgage, £ in the bank, can semi or totally retire and take that trip back to NZ which had to be postponed.

B - coffee
L - more roasted veg and green medley mix
D - Chicken supreme with mushrooms and rice
S - fruit, fruit and more fruit :)

Cold and overcast here - bring back the sun!

ooh, sounds promising if he's coming back for another look, fingers crossed!

I’m certainly not short of recipes to inspire me - there’s so much online and lots of blogs, and I’ve got quite a few SW books and the Nom and Chubby Cubs books too - spend many a happy hour putting menus and shopping lists together and then....

...and then make cheese on toast 🤣🤣🤣.
:rotflmao: I only made an effort as promised hubby these potatoes. Thanks you the link. Always looking for new SW friendly recipes to make and try.

Chilli I adapted a version of hunters chicken also and I used a tomato chutney instead of a BBQ sauce. It was rather yummy. I can't help tweaking recipes to suit my taste or what is in the cupboard . If I am lucky we find a new gem to eat.

I am trying desperately not to count my chickens but he's going back tomorrow night with his mum and dad, and says if they are happy, he'll make an asking price offer there and then!!!!!!!!!! Oh boy oh boy oh boy, like @ChilliQueen it means a level of financial security that I don't think I've ever had before.

In the meantime, some shirts from JD Williams have just arrived. I'd sold lots of stuff on eBay, really pleased everything went, and used the money to buy some oversized shirts - haven't tried them on yet, but it's the first time in ages that I've bought something new, rather than secondhand off ebay :).

Foodwise, need to go light today, the scales are up 2lbs and I don't want a gain tomorrow for WI! It's grim weather too but will try and get out for a little walk later.

it's exciting, I really hope it all works out, it's such a relief to have some respite. Hope the shirts fit nicely when you try them on. :)

I hope your new shirt is just what you want. A nice little treat.

Fingers crossed!

I hope he ups his offer Susie, you could do with the stability. You do seem to have been all over the place with property. Glad you bought some new shirts. I remember you said before you tended to wear tunics when you had to go into the office. Do you find you are dressing differently when working from home?

@tipperary at home it tends to be sweatshirt and comfy trousers, snd tunics for when I go out or have to do a Zoom meeting. And yes you're right about wanting more stability - I used to love a bit of chaos, but not now I'm getting on a bit :).

The shirts arrived and are HUGE! When they say oversized, they really mean it! So will have to swap for 2 sizes down. Out of four shirts, I'm keeping one, a nice crisp black shirt - they call it fit and flare. Going to get it in white too, and they have the same style but sleeveless in black, which I think would looik lovely over the white one, like a roomy waistcoat.

Which made me feel good after my WI - 4lbs on, sadly. But I know why and I honestly expected a big gain - way too many Skinny Bars and sweets, too many snacks in general andc no syn counting. So we're back in focus and the weather is getting better, so I'm off for a walk shortly.

Not sure what's on the menu - WI day is always treat day, and I like doing it like that, really worked well for me before (even when I gained).

Next week is another day and your regrouping will show dividends. You know your down fall so can be aware in the forth coming week . So onwards and downwards.

Nice you have gone 2 sizes down in clothing a moral boost. Even though I have gone down in size I still find myself looking at my old size. I can now start to shop in regular shops rather than specialist shop for the larger ladies.

I always find it harder to stay focussed when things are changing around me, regardless of them being positive or otherwise.

how fab to be able to send stuff back because they're TOO BIG! woohoo!

Ah that walk was lovely, albeit a bit on the cold side (it can get pretty windy here on the coast).

Then went to B&M where I could have gone crazy buying up every Skinny Bar known to man - but didn't :D :D, just two boxes to last the week.

Still don't know what's for dinner, maybe veg with red pesto.

I went to Iceland yesterday and I bought 6 boxes of skinny bars and 2 boxes of hifi bars. But 3 of us are following the slimming world programme. Put a few in fridge and put other in a cupboard out of sight lol They are moreish to say the least. I have my treat in the evening watching television.

Non Scale Victory of huge proportions!!!! The offer on the flat doesn't look like it's going to happen, and I thought I had no food in the house (Asda coming tomorrow), plus it's WI treat day - so these three things combined and I was all ready to jump on Just Eat and get a pizza.

But NO - I found some Light & Lean sossies at the back of the freezer, some Mexican micro rice and a green pepper - and there's dinner - for 3 syns!

Don't mind saying so - I rock! :D :D :thankyouthankyou:

that's a pity about the flat, but if you're right and it doesn't happen there will be other buyers I'm sure.

Well done for making awesome food choices!

TY TY fans :D. Dinner was lovely, although the sossies were a bit (cough) overdone. The mini oven is a lot faster than my conventional oven, a fact i only fremember when I take out the burnt remains of whatever I've been cooking :D :D.

I was just sitting here thinking, what have I done today - laundry (washed, dried, put away), cats fed several times, cat litter changed, a drive down the coast and a walk, a drive to B&M and a walk round there, a bit of EverMerge, a bit of reading, a chat with the neighbour, a nap, a chat re some contract work (which I got yaye), conversations re the flat and other admin stuff, dinner and dishes, tidied up the fridge with my fab new organisers from B&M, transcribed two 30 minute interviews, and now I'm about to write one of them up into a case study. So, when you add it up, "Quite a lot" is the answer LOL.

A friend also reminded me today about how far I've come with my health. Six months ago I was bedridden, but now here I am able to take small walks and go shopping - in an actual shop - like normal people do!

:wee::wee::wee:

You do indeed rock, Lady F! Impressive progress and good freezer supper too, even overcooked.

Sorry about the flat. Fingers crossed for another buyer to some along soon.

Thaks my lovelies, I always love the support I get here!

The buyer is back LOL - he wants to have a chat, so we shall see what happens after that! I've decided not to even think about it and leave it to fate, if it happens, it happens :classic_roll_eyes::classic_cool:.

B - at 6am this morning! L/o rice and sossies, i was ravenous...
L - late lunch, when Mr Asda gets here, ham and salad
D - pasta and veg bake
S - apples, clems

Later - spoke to the guy for 40 minutes, he's going to let me know Monday but I think he's going to offer, cross fingers.

Congratulations on your achievements in improving your health. I can relate to being bedridden. I was not bedridden but could barely walk due to ulcerated legs. Like you can now walk a little and everything is now hot being done for me. So I have got back my quality of life. The more we lose I am sure we will find other none scale victories will come our way.
