I have an update on Fancy Man at work. Turns out he has a partner!

Now either he's a fast worker, having announced to me a few months back that he was single - or he's like most other men on the planet and is a liar pants on fire!

Bloody men! Although, maybe when he mentioned he was single it was very early days with his partner and it was before it became official. Or he's just an arse.

Good luck for WI. If it is a gain, look at the bigger picture. You've lost nearly 4st!!! That's incredible!! And a little gain is not going to take away how well you have done! Just keep going and stick to plan and next week it will whooshie away :) xx

Still feeling very buoyed up by it - and I avoided danger in the work fridge this morning because of my renewed determination - toasted sandwiches and chocolate eclairs, anyone? :classic_eek:

Another great day, and your food sounds lush! I am not enjoying doing a vlcd at all! I miss chewing! Think I may do SW instead, but im giving this week my all. Seeing your loss and eating is making me think why am I putting myself through this!! x
 
Hiya Blossom - forgot to say hello and welcome earlier :).

I am full of admiration for people who do VLCDs, I tried once and couldn't hack it. if you decide at the end of the week that VLCD isn't for you, then I can really recommend SW. But it's important that you go to a class - it makes all the difference (and it's always a really good laugh anyway) :).

Up early to job search because surprise surprise I've been mucked around by work AGAIN. I found out from a work friend yesterday that the promised job is going to me much less money than I was told. Typical, I really shouldn't have believed them, and this time I've had enough. Anyhoo, I've registered with some specialist agencies and am getting jobs emailed through already. I'm also meeting with the HR Manager at lunchtime to quietly ask her to go slow on my contract extension, so I'm not bound in to giving three months' notice!

Sorry you are being messed about at work. It's not easy when work is like that, but sounds like you have options so that's good. Make them sweat lol.

Despite the fact that I ate a week's worth of syns last night in chocolate (went to Poundland, bought grapefruit Lindt and it was all downhill from there!), I feel fab today - I'm wearing a new (eBay) pretty bright pink linen shirt (2 sizes smaller), got my fav perfume (Agent Provocateur - Maitresse) on so I smell delicious, and I've seen a great job to apply for - so feeling very chipper :D.

D - broccoli and cold chicken with sweet potato fries

Thanks Blossom - I try not to snack although the evenings feature Hifi bars normally :). However today has been a nightmare, a real deviation from what was planned - I ended up eating a Pret salad, two (!) cheese and onion sandwiches and two fruit and nut bars - 7 syns each...

I did have quite a few cals yesterday but it's nice of you to let me off the hook :) - although strangely at a sneaky weigh on this morning i was down a pound...but have learned not to trust my scales!

And yaye to SW, I honestly think you'll love it. There are some tricks but essentially they are all about making sure you have lots of veg with each meal, eg don't have a mountain of pasta and no veg, and then lots of Muller Lights - simply because they are "free" doesn't mean you can eat them endlessly, sadly. i really find I do better when i eat lots of spinach and/or broccoli - so i tend to steam a huge handful of spinach and have with my morning eggs, for example, or steam broccoli and have a big plate with some protein. i do tend to do more of a low carb approach - which are called SP days - which suits me better - but people lose just as easily with regular SW days.

That Campfire stew recipe looks nice will try making that soon xx

It is yummy - I put fajita spices in this time and it's even better :).

Morning all - feeling very chipper again, maybe because it's the weekend - or maybe because i lost count of how many of these i ate last night but there's no damage so far on the scales LOL - https://goodnessknows.com/cranberryalmonddarkchocolate - 152 cals a bar, so not too bad on the syn front. We've got BOXES of them at work, so i took two home, thinking I could use them as backups for when i run out of Hifis - hahahahaha yeah right, i ate about 8 of them :classic_eek::classic_eek::classic_eek:! They are very moreish, so will probably have to give them to the neighbour.

L - ham, spinach and sugar snap pea salad, banana
D - ragu - maybe with pasta, but more likely with broccoli
