SW weight gain after Cambridge

Hi all, after doing the Cambridge diet and losing a lot of weight I switched to SW the very next day for my last stone off, have done the diet religiously and started exercising only to have put nearly 2 pounds ON in a week and a half, whats going wrong? Thanks

Hi

It could be that if you're exercising and the fat is coming off, your muscles are gaining weight in the process.

I've had that and only knew as I was weighed at work and over 2 weeks of dieting and exercising my fat had dropped about 2% and my muscle gain was 3%

Don't be disheartened. As long as you're eating well and keeping your syns in check you're going to become healthier even of the weight loss is slow.

Sounds to me that you're going in the right direction.

Slimming World is the future!!!

Keep it up

Hi,
If you've been on Cambridge you'll have gone from have a very low calorie intake to a higher one and it will take a while for it to even out. Also, Cambridge is v low carbs and SW isn't unless you've been doing just red days- which would probably be best post-Cambridge. I think you have to be prepared for a few weeks of gain while your body realises it doesn't have to manically store this fuel it's getting after being starved. It will even out eventually.

I agree with whats been said about the low calorie stuff. Cambridge is extemely low calorie and your body will think its in a famine and store anything thing you eat. It will even itself out once it realises that food is coming regularly. Problem is our bodies dont understand weight loss stuff just the famine part!!!
