Tattoos - yes or no?

My mum was so cross with me when I got mine - I was 20 though! However, I paid no attention as this was coming from the woman who whilst drunk got a tattoo on her bum... of a worm... wearing a beret... smoking a pipe! x

Rubbish picture I'm afraid, but that's one of mine. Honest, it's better than it looks!
Had it done on my 22nd birthday (I think, 2006), and this picture was taken the day after, hence the scabbing on the legs.

just found one of my son (16) who did his works experience at the tattoo shop. On his last day he was given the chance to tattoo someone - me. Nice little star on my left wrist.

Like them on other people... just 3 reasons why they're not for me...

1. I'm a wimp
2. Check this site ugliesttattoos.failblog.org ALL of these people thought that it was a good idea at the time...
3. A conversation that I had with my dad many years ago... "Why would you want any identifying marks? People remember other people with idendifying marks. That's just asking to be arrested." Now why would he think that...?

A maybe from me. I have 2 small ones at the top of my arms and a bigger one going from shoulder to elbow on right upper arm. I haven't said no to getting more but I haven't had a tattoo in last 13 years so probably wont.

Thing is, I've gone from pierced tattooed punk/rock chick to 1950s style. My tattoos just don't look right anymore....

tattoos and 50's style clothing on ladies looks awesome (I know, bloody americanisms) went to a tattoo expo a couple of years ago and there was a stand selling retro clothing, the girls were all dolled up looking like extras from Jimmy Stewart movies but they were all tattooed and pierced and were stunning.

Thanks. I also have 5 nautical stars on my "tramp stamp" location. My friends are tattooists and pretty much everyone I know is tattooed. One of them being nearly 100 percent covered. Some tattoos I've seen do look bad but it depends on the quality of the tattooist and if they really enjoy doing there work which tbh is quite easy to tell.
