Tax on 2nd job

Does anybody know how it works if you have 2 jobs?
I have an interview Tuesday (eeek) for care work but am worried I'll get taxed loads if its for a 2nd job and not be worth while doing the hours

The 2nd job will work out your tax, you'll not pay anymore than if you earned the same amount doing one job.

Thanks for the replies. I think it would mean the 2nd job would get taxed at basic rate of 20%

The tax allowance for 12/13 is £8105, so you'll pay tax on earnings above this amount & as gettingfit said if you do pay too much you can claim it back at the end of the tax year.

If its two part time jobs you can ask tre tax office to split the tax between them, I had two jobs and one had steady hours so I locked that into the tax amount and then the second job was more flexible x
