Does taking xenical keep you from straying?
I did take it for a short while years ago and had the side affects (to the point where i couldn't control it and almost ruined a sofa) but i'll be completely honest i didn't follow the 5%, in fact i don't think i knew about it, i was doing weightwatchers at the time.
I'm tempted to ask to try them again as i was already planning to do a calorie controlled diet and i think if i was on them it would make me 'think' before i eat because at the moment i really don't and i'll just eat because its there. But what i'd be really worried about is being at work and not having any control, i'm on holiday from work week after next so at home, would prob be the best time to start.
Do you see the difference in weight loss when taking them? would you get the same lose with a calorie controlled diet?

You will be fine as long as you follow the rules regarding fat intake. You will only have accidents if you overeat fat as the tabs are there to prevent you absorbing it x

    Thanks hun,
I've found a whole box in my medicine cabinet from earlier in the year but the leaflet isn't in there (think i reread the side effects and thought naaaa) Is it still take 1 with every meal and food needs to be 5% fat or less and no more then 15g fat per meal? anything i've forgotten? x

    Hello

i've used xenical before and found them very successful with a low cal diet..but for some unknown reason my mind wasn't in the right place to keep at it, and i foolishly gave up!

I remember taking them immediately before each meal or up to an hour after. I wouldn't hesitate in taking them again if i needed to.
e.g. if my weight loss stays the same for weeks. apart from crying, i would turn to xenical to kick start it again :) Good luck!

Thanks Hun, Are you still on it at the moment?

I'm going shopping tomorrow so been looking at ASDA online but i'm struggling to find foods that i like that are under 5g of fat (probably how i got to 22stone) Really going to miss cheese, as i have it most days albiet not much but even diet cheeses are fatty.
i'm prob going to have slim fast for breakfast and lunch so that makes like a little easier, i think its ok fat wise but i'm not 100% sure yet.

i have been following slimming world for 12 weeks and been on Xen for 7 of those weeks now,

i find that being on Xen really does help keep me on the straight and narrow as i dont want the nasty side effects:eek:, so i really think about what i eat now more,

i am happy with my losses so far (anything between 1lb & 5lbs per week)

I've had a chat with hubby and decided it would prob be best not to start Xenical for a few weeks and just stick to calorie counting but i'll be back soon x

Okay. look forward to your return..we all do what feels right! Good luck calorie counting :)
p.s. I am not taking xenical this time, just healthy eating and exercise...but if i felt i needed them to kick start some weight loss, i would ask for them again :)
