Hi advice please, probably from some old hands at LT but if anyone knows please let me know!!

i'm getting terrible heartburn, its affecting my sleeping and generally making me very uncomfortable. aside from loads of water to dilute it (as it doesnt seem to be working!) is there anything else i can do for it? I dont normally get it so i'm assuming its LT related.

    Thanks,

    Sxxx

NOt experienced this myself since being on LT - i am surprised when people do get it as i'd have thought it would help clear up heartburn :( so sorry you're suffering so much.

have a chat to your pharmacist or LT themselves :)

Zantac is available without prescription and works really well. Normal Rennies are full of sugar but there is a sugar free version. I used to use Zantac on LL, doesn't work as fast as Rennies but should last about 12 hours so you get a decent nights sleep.

If Zantac won't fix it, you'd need to see a doc for something stronger.

nicolas - you're a star that's what i wil be trying this evening.

howdy - you sure know how to cheer a girl up! that did make me chuckle - if only some actual firemen would turn up at work with a cure ;)

Elle-Em - i know! i thought the same - surely it shouldn't cause heartburn - but cure it!! unless, i'm sure i read or heard somewhere that ketosis makes acid in the body...hmmm

Soon2b - i have a box of peppermint tea in the kitchen here at work so i'll get on that straight away if it crops up again today - so far so good tho.

IslandBreeze - if the above fails, i will be hunting for some of that!!

Thanks everyone! here's hoping at least one of these works!! xxxxx

    hi
i had terrible heartburn when i started using the flapjacks...think it was just eating something so dry after just liquids.
Not much else to add just to agree that peppermint tea is fab for it and great for soothing digestion probs in general...i also think i heard someone mention gaviscon being ok. I don't have any here to check ingredients but maybe worth ringing your pharmacy.
Hope it goes soon for you, it is awful, i suffered dreadfully during my pregnancy :(
