Hi all,

I'm new to the site and am so relieved to see and hear that there are mums to be like me who are overweight or have a high BMI. Really been giving myself a hard time over the fact my BMI is high (over 35) and it seems to be mentioned at every appt.

I'm 22 wks with baby No 2 and seem to be having a harder time with weight issue. Any advice on how to deal with the "women who carry extra weight......." comment?

I've been quite lucky in the sense that my consultant and midwife make me aware of my size at every appointment but are quite tactful about how they put it.

Best way to keep them happy is to eat healthy, keep active and put on as little as possible (should take my own advice here) not much more we can do at the end of the day, it's already happened.

Hope your pregnancy is going well xx
