The (Hopefully) "On-Target" Thursday Thread

Morning All --

I did not see a daily thread and I thought, as I was late to read/write on Wednesday's, I would start today's thread.

I chose "on-target" because one synomyn for "target" is objective. I think that just being on this forum we are "on" out objectives. Whether we are on the programme 100%, on-off, truly struggling, still contemplating starting, etc. We have out thoughts and some our energy directed towards our "target" aka objectives.

Anyway, in an effort to progress towards my objective of a healthier and happier, and therefore, better me... I will try to focus on accomplishing things: as I manage my food and fitness (but not obsess about either), today.

I read a lot yesterday on Minimins about being/feeling hungry - and I know for myself -- that if I am following a ketogenic diet, drinking my water, and keeping busy that I usually do not feel hungry (and can't truly be hungry). So, if I am "feeling" hungry, then I examime my feelings to find out if it is that I am "bored, angry, frustrated, sad, lonely...", etc. and then try to deal with the "true" issue.

My day is starting well, as my DD has recovered and returned to school. I am have a lot of catching up to do, and plan to get "catching" very soon. ;)

I hope everyone woke up today feeling rested and motivated.

I was hungry yday :( and I tried to do all my cleaning but kept getting very light headed and nearly passing out lol I think I had about 5 packets yday instead of cheating!

OH has informed me he wants us to have a dominos after my op as an early valinties day meal haha before I go back on cd! But I don't know if I want to or if I want to risk it?!

Oh and I had a phone call last night asking if I wanted my operation today!!! Eek! But had to say no as OH not got time off work till next week an noone to have kids!

If it says eat before 7.30 (or my shakes!! DOC SAID THIS!!) then clear fluid till 11.30 for that mean I can have green tea or just water?! Confusing lol then I'm nill by mouth so hope op isn't too late else il be starving lol

I'd ask the doc, but I think Green Tea is considered a clear fluid.

Dominos -- would not be so awful if you only ate the toppings. It is the carbs in the crust that will kick you out of ketosis and cause bloat.

Hello all, hope your all getting through the day well. I woke up this morning with this fire inside my belly (motivation) to see this journey through taking it one day at a time, and today I am willing to sacrifice food to get closer to my goal.

I am glad I found this website there is so much support and understanding for eachother it will get me through the tough times hopefully:)

A good way to up your posts fast is to go to ChitChat and play some games. I still play the song game because I like it.

Also, checking the threads for the challenges and commenting on people's losses (encouraging others) will up your posts and is appreciated.

To update your profile -- go to the blue bar at the top of the page and click on user CP. It should offer you a list of choices and you can click on what you would like to change.

The weight tickers are created on and once you have "made one" you can copy and paste the bbb code into your signature (access through the UserCP -- signature) -- and to update those, you just click on your ticker in any of your posts and it will take to the page. You make the changes and click save. The next time you post Minimins -- all your tickers in every post you have ever created will change. It is very cool.

At the top of the main site page there are several things that you can access -- the "tutorials" are very helpful. I think Pierce (one of the moderators) created a ticker tutorial that is very good. There are many others for how the functions on the site work.

I recommend that you boost your posts, so that you can PM and gain more signature space... and have fun!

Just came home from my weigh in and have lost 5lbs this week which takes me to 31 lbs lost in a month!

So pleased to have been 100% for a whole month too :D
