The really slow loss team!

As you know, I don't do SW either Lou but I still come on here to offer support, have a whinge, and generally socialise :D

I can relate to your predicament, SW just wasn't for me. Indeed I don't think anything but calorie counting works for me - I need a cut off point! WW is very much CC, only you count "points" rather than calories. Only difference is nothing is "free" with CC.

Well done audfen. We somtimes convince ourselves of the worst, only to be pleased by the best!

We are very close in terms of weight left to lose. I am now a smidge over 12lbs from my initial target (I might go a bit lower but we shall see). Like you, I am not holding out any hopes for it to go quickly - it's taken me nearly a year to lose just 19lbs

Keep on, keeping on.... that's all we can do. I try to look at is as 19lbs less of me rather than 12lbs still to go - it makes it a bit easier to bear!

Well done audfen!!! Just keep
Doing what your doing hun
Xx

Thanks annya. Im trying not to
Pick on free foods such as fruit and veg and have them incorporated into meals or afters. I find once I start snacking I can't stop.

Me too - which is why there's little point in me following a plan that says "It's OK to snack if you are hungry" I am ALWAYS hungry :sigh:

I find even though snacking on Superfree is the best option, it's pointless if you can't stop. Recently I noticed I was eating fruit for the sake of it, more out of habit than anything. No food is unlimited, just eat when you're hungry. But sometimes it's hard to differentiaite between wanting & needing food.

I've only ever done Sw and I do think it's amazing but it's just not for me atm. I've lost my way haha. I'll still be coming on here to check in with everyone and let you all know how I'm getting on.

Lou,when I went over to ww I started a sw defectors team, see if it is still going.I found the ww side if minis a lot quieter than the sw side.

Exactly Lisa. That was my problem - I was just grazing countless calories in fruit every day because it was "superfree". I am much better off having the absolute discipline of an end point at which I either stop or have to exercise if I want more food!

SW works really well for some, but sadly I am not one of them :(

lol I know I am trying to add healthy extras in too, sometimes I am happy to not eat any lol,but its my 2nd week and I am enjoying it x

Sorry I've been awol! Had soooooooo much going on. Will catch up with what I've missed when I get back from WI!

Lost 1.5 last week and 1 this week. Had put 4.5 on 2 weeks ago so I'M getting there.

I have 4lbs to go til I get in next stone bracket. Has taken me soooooo king. Defo the scenic route!!

I hope you are alright Lou x do you know why you gained ?
I had a STS last night which I am pleased with as I had a four day bank holiday weekend and had a couple of big meals but I also made sure I had only fruit for breakfast as I went out Friday and Saturday then Sunday we had the marks dine in for £10 - no wine though still got that !

I had 2 takeaways and loads of wine lol.

I'm really in pain, doctor didn't seem bothered but it's my pelvis, back and down my legs. It's making me miserable I started taking the pill yesterday so I'm hoping that when I have my weeks break I have a big period and feel lots better. Had a bit of a pig out tonight but counted it in to what I'm allowed so not bad at all. Just comd to bed with pain killers. Hopefully I'll be ok tomorrow

Aw hope you feel better soon! I caved in today and had treat day early! I hardly ever do that, but so early on in my sw journey I cant afford to do this either! :) xx

Evening peeps - I'm back from the UK but not managed to catch up yet.
I'll try to catch up tomorrow but I'm busy, busy, busy with bleddy debtor management!
Just reporting in with a 1.6 kg gain (that's 3½ lbs) whilst on hols putting me at 6½ lbs over target.
Booger . . . back to red days and a lot of effort to shift it methinks.

Hi all,

I was nearly in tears yesterday, as I seem to have regained all the weight I lost a couple of weeks ago which I reported on here and I was so down. I found an old diary from 2009 and there was an entry about me weighing 10 stone 6 and how I had been 10.3 the week before! Exactly the same as I am now. I am 10/6 and was 10/3 middle of last week!!

So I have come to the conclusion that I must do calorie counting if I am to have any kind of success. No more free this and that, I am going to have to be more rigid. I have been following SW for near on 3 years or so. I have a WW cook book which has all the calories worked out, so am going to use that and I am pretty sure that SW will fit in with some of it but I am going to have to weigh my portions, as I think SW is just too many for my body.

Will let you know how I get on.

PS. Annya, it was your posts that helped me come to this realisation.

The problem isn't the diet - it's our body and mind.
We all got fat because we ate too much - usually telling ourselves we're hungry so I'd better have something to eat.

The big problem is working out the difference between being hungry and feeling thirsty.
I used to reach for superfree but now I go and glug a big glass of water with NAS squash and wait for at least 15 minutes.
As that's how long it takes for your stomach to catch up with your mouth.
It works like a dream for me. I hardly ever snack between meals now - just drink loads of water.

Well done all you losers (I've finally caught up).

And Acc - well done for 3 weeks loss in a row. 9 lbs in 3 weeks is STUPENDOUS.
Techically though, you're not on the norty step this week - the rules say that you have to lose more than a pound to go there! :8855:

PS to Acc - there's something very weird with your stats. Have you looked at your BMI? 6000+
