The really slow loss team!

Its not so bad if you know you can lose the weight again. I am just stuck, but the upside is I am at target. Just dont want to be stuck at a higher number for evermore if you know what I mean. Thats why I'm not going daft this Christmas. Took too long to get to where I am now. :)

I feel like the first Christmas in a few years I'm not eating for the sake of it. I'm eating when I'm hungry and drinking a lot less. I'm sure ill have a better result after Xmas than last year. My large gain last week was comfort eating and drinking a lot due to wedding and works meal. I've reined it in now x

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I didn't eat well but then again I never plan to stay on plan.
Last week weigh in was another 1.5lb up but I have now dropped down to 2 steroids a day instead of 3
I also got the new books last week and since my specialist has given me the green light to exercise and continue with slimming world I intend to start again Wednesday.

This will be the year I get back into 10 stone and x pounds

Have fun tonight whatever you all have planned.

It is just me my husband and the cats with party food and a bottle of bubbly

Love to all x

It's just me and the cats - and no bubbly!
Hubs in hospital - info on my fred if anyone's interested.

Latte - great that the steroids have reduced and that you can carry on with SW

Have a great New Year everyone - just 7 minutes to go here! And I'm off to bed.

Sorry to read about your hubby being poorly bev

Latte hopefully you will start seeing some losses now the steroids have been reduced

Didnt have a great new year, found out my friends mum committed suicide last night. Am gutted. Ended up quite drunk and feel shocking today. Back to Sw next week, my friend asked if I'd go with her and now I can stay to group I thought it was a good idea. I just need to not snack on free food. I've put between 3-8 pounds on, not sure which as the scales are fluctuating wildly. Me and hubby have back pain in the same place, I think it's some sort if weird virus cos we've had colds and headaches too but not heard if a bug that gives u back pain. I'm worried its something to do with the water infection I just had :/

Oh Lou - I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mum. It's getting so much more common nowadays that I wonder what the doctors and the NHS can do to help these poor people. I have a friend who's a psychiatrist in Dublin and she works with the schools authority to try to help kids as young as 11 who have tried to commit suicide, and with the families of those that have succeeded.
((( Big hugs ))) to you chica.

Well WI this week was a surprise. Having not been anywhere near the scales on Monday, I'm taking today's weight as my official WI. But with a pinch of salt as I think some of it will probably go back on.

Leading up to WI on Dec 24th I'd gained a bit - mostly through bloat I think as I'd had a fair few baguettes for lunch
By the time I got back from Benidorm that gain had totally gone and I was back at the weight I was on Dec 17th.
In the last 48 hours I've lost 0.9 kgs (amost 2 lbs)!
I have been eating but probably not enough and I've had no alcohol whatsoever!

So I'm just 0.9 kgs off my new target. I'd like to lose that this week if I can as next week it is 2 years since I restarted on this campaign and that would be a nice anniversary present. But realistically I think some will go back on as my eating over the next few days is likely to be a bit "random". I'll grab stuff as & when I can and it's not likely to be that healthy.

Just having a glass of wine to try and chill a bit and then I'm off to bed.

Hi all. I am starting back AGAIN on Thursday and am prob 3 st heavier than i was last time. i am def a slower loser based on my previous attempts but this time i am more determined than ever. Could i join you?x

Welcome Lindsay and good luck in your weight loss quest :)

Would you believe I lost 1lb this week. I think maybe because I barely ate today due to being at the hospital so no breakfast and lunch in my stomach!
Plus I have dropped from 3 steroids a day to 2

And wouldn't you know I now have two planned meals out tomorrow with a friend for new year and Saturday is my postponed Christmas night out

Lack of food bulk and a drop in the steroid will both have helped Latte, but don't sell yourself short my lovely - you have made the effort too so well done you!!

Make good food choices and limit the damage then back on it hard anfast Sunday - you may still get a loss next
weigh in :)
I gained a whopping 5lbs over Christmas/New Year but have now knocked 2lbs back off - amazing when you consider I am on the maxed out dose of 5-6 steroid tablets per day just now! Another blood test in 3 weeks then I hope to be back to 3-4 usual winter dosage - my goal is to get back below 12 stone (even if it is 11st 13.5lbs!) and stay there until March when I go back down to the summer maintainence dose of 1-3 tablets per day which I know I can lose on - albeit VERY slowly  and then get back on track to lose a further one stone to take me to 11 stones whcih I will be VERY happy to maintain at.

We can do this - slowly, slowly - but we can do it :D

. . . my goal is to get back below 12 stone (even if it is 11st 13.5lbs!)
Do your scales not weigh more accurately than that? Mine will read in 1/10 ths of a pound. Will 11 st 13.9lbs be ok ???? ?
:8855: :8855: :8855: :8855:

Seriously though, well done on shifting 2 of the 5 lbs. Get over here and come party with me on the naughty step. Glass of fizzy water awaits you, no alcofrol allowed at the mo as I'm driving all the time.

Latte - well done chica. As Annya said, you put in the effort and it paid off so don't do yourself down.

Well I have my last meal out tonight then I really intend to go hell for leather and get my life and diet sorted.
I don't finish the steroids till end of February and I start my new medication tomorrow but I also start back at the gym tomorrow.
