The really slow loss team!

Gained again :sigh:
Now 6¾ lbs OVER target with some very heavy celebratory weeks coming up.
hey ho

Sorry to all those who have unfairly gained this week x

I wish I had the magic formula but all you can do is keep trying and don't give up

Pom , sorry nothing profound to say only to quote Latte and Hold your head high , you are a mentor to many on here. xxxx hugs :)

Sorry to hear that Bev. You WILL get your groove back, of that I have absolutely no doubt. As Ann says, you are inspiration and mentor to so many and we all know you have got this. As you know I have have had two naughty weeks myself with visitors coming and going and I am just waiting for the massive gain on the scales myself this week - it has to come and I feel MAJORLY big and bloated :sigh:

Sometimes life just gets in the way of weight loss and, if like me, this is going to be a lifetime of making sensible food choices then there are going to be gains sometimes. Don't be too hard on yourself.......... life is far too short xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks Annya and Ann - I just seem to have lost a bit of my mojo at the mo.
I've been gaining and losing (to quote you Annya) the same 1.5 kgs since April and just don't seem to be able to get back down anywhere near target.

Could you reset your target. Maybe your body is happy with that weight but are you?

It could need a real one month blast being super good to shock your body but personally I prefer socialisng !!

So sorry to hear that Bev. I think it must be Worldwide Inflate Weights Week in the Kingdom of Scales.

Seriously though, I can emphasise as I too have been losing and gaining the same weight since late June. It must be more frustrating when you've got social events coming up and you've little or no control over the food.

If I were faced with the same situation, I suspect you would tell me to make the most sensible choices possible, enjoy the occasion and follow SW where possible. Hopefully, your social events will be worth any gain and you'll quickly shake those pesky kilograms off afterwards, using your knowledge and experience.

Noooooooooooooooo . . . not going down this route.

Initial target was 11:13 (originall I was happy to get just under 12 stone :8855:)
2nd target was 11:10 (being an old fogey I discovered I'd shrunk by ½" and this is waht I needed to weigh to keep my BMI the same)
Final target was 11:7 (ish) as I converted to kgs at some point for some reason lost in the mists of time.

I actually dropped to 11:3¾ in October 2012 but could just not maintain that - that WAS too low.
I was maintaining at 11:7 quite happily until April when the proverbial hit the fan with my mum.
I've been struggling ever since.

What's crazy is that all through the stress of Mr Pom being really ill over New Year plus Jan/Feb I continued to maintain fairly easily.

I'll get back there - it just might take some time.

That's exactly where I am right now Bev - just to see 11st 13.75lbs would be a greatest thing in the world :sigh:

Myself I would be delighted to be 13.13

You will get there pomme I know how determined you are x

Weigh in Tuesday I lost 1lb but still 1lb over target and still 2lbs away from 2 stone and next Tuesday is my last weigh in before my birthday so no chance

I think I only lost the weight as due to circumstances last week I unintentionally missed at least 3 meals over a few days

Yesterday was my husband's birthday so a meal out with cocktails was enjoyed

I have this theory that it doesn't actually matter how you do it as long as the pounds go :)
Although I do draw the line at certain things though. Fixing the scales being one. :rotflmao:

well done though chica - you're so nearly there.

BCP - looks as though you are getting there - only 9 lbs to go according to you stats.
YOU CAN DO THIS!

It will probably still take a long time to get to that.... then.... well time to set a new target :character00115:

I don't know how I managed it, but I STS this week which I truly was not expecting. I was so unconvinced that I got back on the scales with Angie's cat in my arms just to make sure they weren't stuck!!

Hello :)

I am a slow loser, the most I ever lost was 3lbs and normally it is just 1lb. I'm happy it is coming off but it is hard being so patient.

xx
