Thinking about starting

    Hello everyone,I'm thinking of starting slimming world but I know absolutely nothing about it, how much weight do you roughly lose a week? I know it's prob always different just wondered roughly?

    Haha good answer , I'll have a look on the website see when the meetings are. Just didn't know wether to go for this or a shake only diet, how are you getting on? X

    I've done both! and if you're willing to put in the time and effort, SW is the way. It's healthy, balanced and sustainable, and you can live your life. Shake diets are usually quicker, but aren't long term, and ultimately, they're almost impossible to work around real life, no matter what people tell you!!
    They each have their benefits, but I'll always come back to SW, now I just need to maintain my own motivation to stick with it for the long haul :)

    I've done Exante and if I'm honest the losses with SW are similar long term and you can EAT! Shake only diets take monumental willpower to sustain and as soon as you stop - BAM The weight comes back on, SW is a lifestyle not a quick fix. Shake only sees quick initial results but very very hard to maintain and it mucks with your metabolism something chronic xxx

    Thank you for the advice, I think sw is the way to go, I have done the shakes a few times and they are ok until someone's birthday or a event comes up and I end up eating , then once I've eaten I can't stop and end up putting on half a stone in a few days. Thanks for the advice I think I'll go with slimming world, what have your losses been like if you don't mind me asking? X

    Been doing SW fir three weeks and I've lost 5.5lbs through eating constantly plus some exercise - I lodt 7lbs in a week on shakes but put it back on immediately !!! I haven't got a lot to lose so will probably slow down a bit as I head into the 9's but I feel great (not hungry!). Good luck with SW. I think you've made the right choice xxx

    SW is so easy to maintain and adopt as an everyday routine. And you can still go out and enjoy meals out/birthdays & other events. I've lost 1st 10lbs since I started in February and I'm so glad I joined :) the shakes are great if you need a quick fix but you can't do it for the rest of your life x

    If you stick to the plan you can happily lose 1-2lb a week which is a healthy amount.
    Many find that especially in the early days they lose a bit more.
    I find I can have a meal or two being less strict with the plan and still lose a bit.
