thinking of quitting...

well ive been following sw since april and half lost 1 stone which is great but im really finding it hard keeping up with the weekly payments when i havent lost ANY weight in the past 7 weeks, just going up and down. i jsut feel like i can do this alone and its not going to put as much pressure on me as im under at the moment because i ahve alot going on socially and i just cant stick to the plan 100% so bascailly im maintaining. maybe im just meant to be this weight and to get lower would take some serious amounts of exercise which i dont have the time nor the energy to do. well... what does everyone else think. im not saying i want to stop being on the plan, im going to continue eating healty but i might just stop going to classes?

it's really your decision. if i'm totally honest with you, from previously seeing your photos, i don't see you as someone with a weight problem and if i was your mate i'd tell you you don't even need to diet :) obviously if your not happy with your weight then you have to either carry on SW or an alternative eating plan.

...but if was you i'd go out and have a great time - being good during the inbetween bits ;)

well im sticking to it but then im having times when i cant, had to go to pizzahut for example and theres just no way you can follow the plan when all there is to eat is pizza or very high syn pasta and because of that im just not loosing and maintaining, gaining a few, loosing a few etc. im going camping this weekend ad going to be expected to have a drink. its hard at the moment and as much as i want to get to target i jsut dont see it happening any time soon, i KNOW i will have gained again this week as ive been over my syns 2 days this week due to work night out and going for a meal with friends but its getting to the point where the pressure of having to loose is really getting to me and making me not loose. but then again im going to be sad i cant go as a target member :(

unfortunately it's a choice we all need to make and we all have to make sacrifices. even though you're going camping and 'expected' to drink doesn't mean you have to drink....that's your choice and only you can decide whether you want to drink and have a good time or have a drop on the scales...and you'll still have a good time! pizza hut has salad as a choice on their menu, so if you really wanted to stick to plan you could, but that, for me, would be such a hard decision as i love pizza so much :D

That's up to you. It doesn't look to me like you need to lose weight, going from your tracker, as your bmi is under 25 which is perfectly healthy. Maybe a target of 21.6 bmi is a bit low, especially if you do exercise, as muscle is heavier than fat. Good luck whatever you decide to do though :)

I agree with Karen that you don't have a lot, if anything, to lose and maybe it is a waste of time and money to keep going to class if you aren't getting anything out of it and there is no reason you can't continue with the plan on your own and you still have us lot to help!

well, id just be seen as a spoil sport if i had salad, plus i was on green and its all meat with salads and pasta there is high syn so id did TRY same if i dont have a drink at the weekend

all the pizza huts i've been to...and there's been alot! lol... have had the salad cart available as a main meal. they bring a plate to your table and you go up and help yourself to whatever salad you want.

just be strong and tell them your not drinking ...or you don't feel like drinking. it's wierd to start with - i haven't drank for about 4 years because i have more fun watching others be drunk and i've never been told i'm a spoil sport. if people do tell you that then just tell them where to go ;)

i think once u get to a certain weight its hard to loose more weight! you seem to be content with the weight you are now?
I still go out and eat bad foods this week i had 4 meals out i just didnt have many syns on the other days and i lost 1lb wooohooo
but i have a busy social life just finished uni so trying to loose uni weight! i did loose a lot of weight on WW but i stopped going to the meetings once i got to goal then piled what i lost back on and more argh!
so this time im aiming to get to goal and stick to it as much as possible but still have my nights out and my naughty treats for my syns haha but i know i need to continue getting weighed somehow even if i do it at boots cos i will lose track again

i hink i have come to a conclusion, i went to class tonight and i really was expecting worse, i gained, again, as i thought but it was only half a lb. its not too bad really. i have been playing about at this weight for 9 weeks now and have written myself a 'letter' and set myself a new goal. my new goal is 9stone 7, thats half a stone more than my original but i think maybe more realistic, its also 6lbs away from where i am now. soooooo... heres my letter

6lbs to target

come on abigail, get off your lazy arse and loose that 6lbs.\it's less than half a stone for god's sake! you DONT need to eat all those syns, you DONT need to eat when your not hungry and just because its free that DOESNT mean you HAVE to eat it. 1lb a week will get you to target in 6 weeks, 2lbs a week is target in 3! Then you can stop paying fees and start revelling in the fact that you are slim!! so hurry up its not impossible.

thhen i drew 6 ticky boxes for each lb to tick off as i go.

If your hungry, eat! if your not stop being greedy!!

and that was the letter to myself which i am going to put somewhere where i will always look at it when im fridge picking as i really believe that is why im not loosing.

you need to be in the right frame of mind............but most of all u have to try and not cave in to peer pressure.........know its tough, but it would be a shame not to get to your goal weight when your so close.........

i hope ya manage to get it off :) why dont you imagine your new to slimmin world in your mind and think like..... ohhh can i eat this, better not just incase... if you know what i mean maybe then youll be abit more strict with yourself and think more about what you have

Better than getting down, giving in and undoing all that hard work.

i know the general feeling is that you should eat all your syns etc but i just end up saving mine up til like 10 at night then having something silly when im not even hungry and i know thats my problem. today i have had a great day, omelette this morning with ham as healthy b and homemade leek and potato soup for lunch and a hifi bar as a snack, plan on having a light tea and keeping superfree tomorow until tea time. tomorow is when i go camping and im going to try and be 'good' with what i eat but i will just have to have whats there and i am going to have a drink and i will be mroe than happy if i maintain this week as i am going to go and have fun and will not be having fun if i want to drink but cant coz im 'on a diet'. its not what sw is about either so will enjoy tomorow evening and then back on track by sunday
