Extra Easy Days This time I will and can do it......

  1. Hi all

    I'm brand new here. I've spent the last 15 years gradually getting bigger and I'm fed up of it. This is the last time I will start SW (I've joined 5 times before) this time it will be a lifestyle change. I've read some really positive stuff on this site and realise this is probably where I have gone wrong in the past; not accessing the available support networks. I intend to join my local SW group on Thursday but start the plan tomorrow (after I've waded through the Mothers day chocs today obviously) so all support will be gratefully received and hopefully by the time my big 40 and week long holiday in Italy arrives in 19 weeks I will see a noticeable difference in myself.

    Welcome Claire and all the best on your journey. Something clicked in me too when I joined (for the very last time) and realised that sw is a life plan as opposed to a quick fix and I've never looked back since that day!

    Your start weight is similar to mine. If you're determined to stick to plan you'll see a great loss in 19 weeks. I've been here since Aug and just about lost 2 stone, but MANY of those weeks weren't 100% on plan. I'm not too bothered, as I have adapted SW into my lifestyle now, and the off days are few and far between.

    The last few weeks though I've been on plan a lot better, something clicked and off I went. I'm hoping to get another 2 stone off by end of Aug, which is similar to your deadline.

    Good luck with the start of your journey - I'm also feeling really positive about my weight loss journey this time. I'm so dissappointed in myself for putting back on most of the weight I worked so hard to lose for my wedding day. But now I'm not losing it for one special day, I'm trying to lose it for life.

    Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply and the encouragement. I am going to make a point of checking in here regularly and contributing and hopefully this will benefit me. Well done to all of you too.

  8. Brilliant thanks for that. I have subscribed to your diary, I hope that's ok? just to get the hang of how it works. I will have to see if there is a app for my phone too as I'm on annual leave today so have time to sit and and navigate the site but I won't normally.

    It's mostly me MOANING about stuff, and obsessing over what to waste my syns on ;)

    I don't use the app-I think there is one though.

  14. I'm going to start tomorrow but the class I want to attend isn't on until Thursday. I need to strike while the irons hot, putting it off is what got me here in the first place plus I feel sick as a dog now I've scoffed all those mothers day chocs!!! Good luck with your weight loss Jill.
